This Dee Brown crap really got under my skin at the end.

Win would've tied us for 1st in the conference, but instead we're now 4th.

You know Illinois lost today? At home. Again. That makes 4 Big Ten losses for the ILL-INI.

How many good Western Conference teams have we beat this year? The only ones that I can think of are the Lakers and Spurs at home. Every other game, be it home or away, I'm pretty sure we've lost.

Hopefully we can beat the Pacers at Indy. I know we haven't done that for a while.

You want Dee? Buy a plane ticket to Salt Lake City.

Also, why would you want to watch Dee Brown? He's horrible. I'm surprised he hasn't been cut yet.

He hasn't been cut because his boy Deron is on fire. It's probably like Jack Haley being Rodman's sidekick.

I love the Bulls, but Illini hating is lame. The Bulls didn't lose because of the crowd.

OH SNAP

It's annoying, it's a Bulls game and not a Jazz or Illini game. I bet the Bulls players were quite happy that their home crowd was more interested in their opponent than whether or not the Bulls won.

I love my former Bruins, but you don't see me going to Miami to yell at the Heat to play Jason Kapono or Charlotte to see Ryan Hollins or some other 12th man Bruin (and I don't care about those teams).

Some people don't realize how big of a prepstar Dee Brown was in this town. Proviso is a quick shot from the UC and he has a TON of fans still in this area. He's one of the area's legendary prep stars and will always have a huge following in this area. His success at Illinois only raises that status. If you want to hate on something, hate on the fact that the crowds at the UC almost always suck because they pander to a very family friendly atmospheric crowd where people look at you funny if you try to start a chant or say something creative in the stands.

That is the true travesty.

Do we ever beat Western Conference teams? Not since the Jordan years.

I like some of the things this club is doing but the lack of success against the Western Conference is just more of the same, and would tend to indicate we won't win our first playoff series (once again).

Why would the Bulls lose in the first round? They won't be playing till a Western Conference team?

If they do, I'm sure Bulls fans will pull for the Jazz.

Vescey says Gasol has demanded a trade and said Chicago is one of three teams they have talked about, and want Gordon and Deng for Gasol and Warrick. A Bulls insider said that they wouldn't do that deal, but the mere fact Pau has demanded out means his value will be lowered and i'm sure they won't get equal value in terms of talent to Gordon AND Deng, so naturally they are going to have to listen to lesser offers.

I'd offer Deng/fillers/plus unprotected NY pick and a future protected first for Gasol and Warrick and see what they come back with.

http://www.nypost.com/seven/01212007/sports/pau_er_brokers_sports_peter_vecsey.htm

Kirk/Du

BG7/Thabo

Nocioni/Warrick/Tyrus

Gasol/Tyrus

Wallace/Allen

Now that would be championship calibur.

BTW, a guy from Greece said the announcers for one of their games mentioned that Jake Tsaklidas' (sp) agent told them Paxson was trying a deal revolving around Deng and the NY pick for Gasol.

I want an inside scorer and Gasol really doesn't provide that.

I'm sorry, but you're just flat out wrong. I've watched him on league pass the last 2 years, and he is as good as they get in the post. He also always draws fouls under the hoop, and is usually in the top 5-10 in FTA's in the entire league. All he does is back down players...maybe i'm wrong but i'm guessing you just haven't seen too much of him.

Edit: I'm also pretty sure he was in the top 5 or 10 in points in the paint last year.

Work with me here. Bulls haven't gotten out of the first round since Jordan, and all that time they've stunk against the Western Conference. This year, they still stink against those better teams. It's a correlation.

Vescey says Gasol has demanded a trade

Maybe I'm just reading too much into what I saw, but during that Bulls/Grizz game last Saturday Gasol looked like he had seriously just gotten out of bed, and couldn't care less what was happening (as his team proceeded to look worse than a group of high schoolers).

This doesn't suprise me. At all.

I think it raises the question: Is Gasol the kind of guy you want to go to war with? Or is he going to fold when things get tougher? If this Bulls team does anything, it's tenacious and keeps fighting. From what I saw, Gasol does NOT look like that kind of player.
