Naturally, and I'm not extremely confident in how they've played from what I've seen(especially with LeBron apparently being gimpy), I just found that statement a bit unusual considering the evidence counter to it being so recent.

I can't blame him for being excited after a signature win like that. Then again, the Bulls did split the season series with the Cavs, and they're 3-1 versus both the Pistons and the Heat. I imagine that's the best record versus the top four among Eastern conference teams.

You say that less than a week after Cleveland beat the Bulls on their home court?

Cavs need to cling to that game-in-the-loss-column lead, because they lose the tiebreaker with the Bulls.

Chicago beat Cleveland in Cleveland just over a month ago. I said the Bulls should be the Eastern favorites, not that they will win every single game they play.

And I neglected to mention it originally, but Noc will be back for the playoffs, and he's torn up the opponent both of his first two times there. The Bulls have put up among the best records in the NBA since the break without one of their most important players (which, ironically, probably makes him expendable after this season).

who was he guarding?

He was on Prince a lot.

looks like he locked him down. :D

i'm assuming skiles had him in there mostly for defensive purposes.

Skiles had him in there because Wallace was out and he wanted to try going small.

He did a nice job on Prince. The whole team played outstanding defense. Hinrich put on a clinic guarding Hamilton.

I'll feel sheepish about Thabo when his PER cracks 12. You know, Duhon production. :D

Great statement win by the Bulls. It was better even than I was hoping for. They demoralized the Pistons to such a degree, they just gave up.

Empty Palace half-way through the 4th quarter was hilarious and beautiful to see 8-)

From Hollinger's 2006-07 All-Improved Team (in season) list:

I can't leave [Tyrus] Thomas off this list after the weekend he had: a career-high 27 points against Cleveland on Saturday, followed by outleaping Atlanta's Josh Smith at the rim on two plays, one at either end of the court, in a win over the Hawks on Sunday. Throw in a 13-point, eight-rebound night in a 10-minute stint against Detroit on Wednesday, and the talent is obvious.

Moreover, check out these per-40-minute numbers since the break: 18.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 53.2 percent shooting. As difficult as he can be at times (witness Wednesday night's heave-ho), it's only a matter of time before he inherits P.J. Brown's starting power forward job, because he's just too good to keep out of the lineup.

He must not have watched the game if he is knocking Tyrus for the ejection.

Tyrus could've ignored Hamilton completely once the technicals had been called. I don't think he should've been ejected, I admire his passion, and the game had been decided already, but Tyrus plays with a chip on his shoulder.

I think that's part of the reason he's so good and exciting.

Heat lead the Cavs by 7 at the half. Come on Miami, win this game.

May this be the last time I EVER root for the Heat.

This is unbelievable...what a terrible choke job. Im sure the Heat wont choke this bad when they play the Bulls in the first round.

Despite their desperate attempt to choke the game away, Heat are looking pretty solid here. Up 3 with 5.6 to go.

Now in the 2 hole! Cavs still have to play at Detroit yet as well.

Bulls vs NJ tomorrow in what would be a first-round playoff game if standings hold.
