Anyone see that commercial where Lasorda talks the Cubs fan out of a tree to go watch the MLB playoffs? Thats how I feel like right now.

He asks what team he roots for and when the answer is "Cubs," Lasorda goes "Ugh!" before responding.

Dang, didn't see that one. Was it just a few minutes ago? I'll go rewind and watch it, then.

I saw his for the Cleveland Indians, where the fans were hiding in the kitchen.

Yeah it was on right before I posted it. Can't remember which halfinning

Ok, I went back and saw it. Meh.

Great job on the run down, Padres.

Blum was running Pujols back to first but let go of the ball way too early. Should have runned him back a little further before he made the throw to Gonzalez.

Of course it didn't help matters that Branyan was nowhere to be found.

FWIW, there's another one with a Red Sox fan hiding in a bathroom who gets coaxed out to root against the Yankees.

Lasorda seems like a caricature in all those ads.

Is there any rational explanation for Jeff Weaver throwing 5 shutout innings in the playoffs after the season he's had?

Supposedly he's had some good games on the road but had some stinkers at Busch.

So far excluding the Tigers win today, the playoffs have gone exactly the opposite of how I've wanted them to go of course. Sometimes I wonder if baseball wants me to be a fan of it.

It's tough to pitch poorly at Petco, especially with the weather we're having. (Makes Pujols' HR in Game 1 more impressive.)

It's about half and half with me. The A's series is going real well for me and the Tigers at least evened up that series, but this series is pretty bad right now. Hopefully the Dodgers win tonight.
