Great. With the bye week, we're going to have 2 weeks to stew over this disappointment. :x :P

Playing in AZ doesn't quite count as a bye week. Close though.

You are right. My bad.

I wonder if Matt Leinert will be soiling himself this week while going over video in preparation for his second career start - on top of being against a defense that will bury him, it's a Monday night. Can't wait.

Leinart is already 5 of 5 passing for 84 yards and 2 TD passes against the Chiefs in the first quarter.

Can't take any team lightly in this league.

going over stats, Anderson does have 5.5 sacks now right?(including today)

Angelo is a genious when it comes to defensive talent. His only goof really being Roosevelt Williams(ugg, everyone gets a mulligan right?)

Didn't he pick Marc Columbo too?

Yes. Defensive talent.

With regards to Columbo he would probably be our current RT had he

not blown apart his knee cap.

Man. What an awesome game. I thought that the only bad thing that was going to happen was that the Bears weren't going to score a TD in the north endzone (where I was), but they recovered the fumble on the kickoff and punched it in. I'm still pissed about that bogus roughing call on Urlacher, but maybe allowing the TD will just piss the defense off.

Still, that was something. And what a beautiful day at Soldier Field.

updated Grossman season stats

93/152 1243yards 10TD's 3INT's 100.8 rating.

If the Bears continue to run the ball like they did today Grossman's passing yards will remain down.(not that it matters with wins or losses but important in terms of his MVP candidancy)

This offense has an early feel of the Cowboys of the early 90s, vertical offense (Irvin/Moose & Harper/Berrian) with a power running game. While the Bears likely won't end as productive as the Cowboys were on offense, the Bears will have a better defense.

my only worry is a catastrophic injury.

I believe Grossman has a little of the Farve-like gunslinger in him, of course, at times, it'll be costly however, more times than not, it'll result in a big play. I haven't seen such an approach from a Bears QB since McMahon, just not used to seeing this from the Bears QB or offense.

He's as good as his numbers say. He got two sacks against Walter Jones last week and this week he played quite well against a good OL.

I'll have highlights up in about 15 minutes. The move he used for his first sack was pretty impressive.

It was a fantastic move. That said, I'm sure he's benefitting from the attention that is understandably directed at Tommie Harris.
