Why is Gameday going to Columbus this weekend? I thought they were going to have to go wherever Herbstreit was doing his game. Are they just going to have his portions from East Lansing or is he flying to Michigan right after the show?

That would be strange if they went to OSU games 3 out of 4 weeks. Iowa/OSU will be the biggest game next week provided they both win, and they've already picked out a location and begun marking things out.

I imagine Herbstreit will fly to E. Lansing, but I can't imagine Gameday going to Columbus next week.

They're going to Columbus this week. Ohio State plays at Iowa the next week and they've told the people in Iowa City that they plan to come to Iowa City for that unless there's some major change.

Apparently they won't go to the same site twice, but it still seems odd that they would be at an OSU game 3/4 weeks.

Penn State's chances of getting revenge on Michigan (for the last play loss last year in Ann Arbor) are looking slim. Passing game needs to get it together an fast. I have no hope at OSU whatsoever.

Any of you 500 Mizzou students ever hang out to watch a game?

Together? No. We'd probably have to meet in person for that to happen.

And that'd just be weird.

Haha. Could you imagine the conversation with the people you regularly go to games with?

"Hey {person} what time do you want to start drinking Saturday morning?"

"Oh, I'm actually going to this game with some other friends."

"Really, who?"

"Just some guys from the internet."

Next week's NU @ PSU game has been scheduled for 2:30 central on ABC (regional). Revenge would be great, although at this point I might settle for a respectable loss.

On the Mizzou end, the Colorado game next week will be on FSN in many regions, which is good news($$ and exposure). Unfortunately it means another 11:30 start for those attending. Also, the Mizzou website lists the following two games(@ Tech, @ aTm) as TBA, but ESPN has them as 7 PM and 2PM EST starts respectively. Could be good news for Cubbies75's hope that the Tech game is national.

Congrats on your hot start TT! When does your team play a divison 1 team? :D

After each win the better the exposure. If you guys can continue to go undefeated soon enough you'll have Corso gracing your stage.

Corso said something this past weekend along the lines of: "Watch out for the Missouri Tigers." It'd be awesome if we were playing well enough and could get them here for the OU game, if not sooner.

We were one of the studs SEC powerhouse Ole Miss played! :P

It's nice to still have overzealous dreams at this point in the season though. Last year New Mexico crushed any hope real early, and this year there's been a 100% improvement in the defense. I don't think we've called a blitz all year because the Front 4 has been so fantastic. Like others have said, as things have unfolded I'd be disappointed with anything but a 5-0 start, but then going to Lubbock and College Station will show how good we really are.

At least now I know why you were pumping up the SEC!

I like teams that have a strong front 4 and those guys can hide a lot of weaknesses. What you need to see is when those 4 guys struggle does the rest of the defense step up, if they do you might have something pretty special there.

I'd also like to say that all of these injuries blow. There are still quite a few guys who haven't played a snap yet this year who aren't getting that much better or have new injuries.

I saw the start of the Colorado game. I'm not too happy with it. My parents are coming down for that game, and my dad was hoping for a later start time. This is the third time they've come down for a game and the third time it'll be a start time before noon.

Yeah I bet Gameday is just drooling to get to any of those Missouri/Colorado, Mizzou/Texas Tech or Mizzou/A&M matchups.

I know you guys are excited about being 3-0 but you aren't going to get much national attention until you play a good team and beat them. Looking at your schedule (wow), you don't get many chances.

Gameday doesn't come to watch two unranked or barely ranked Big 12 teams play each other for a game on a regional sports network that isn't available to large parts of the country.

You guys could have had your shot to get some major attention nationally and a ranking if Pinkel and your A.D. wouldn't have weasled out of the series with Iowa. Instead you chose Arkansas State last year and Murray State this year.

Apparently, some brilliant voter at the Charlotte Observer mailed in his poll from last week by accident. They re-did the poll, and BC is now 20 by themselves, Cal is 21, and ASU is 22. (Previously, BC and ASU were tied at 20, and Cal was 22.)

Boston College moved into sole position of the No. 20 ranking in The Associated Press Top 25 on Monday, after the poll was recalculated to fix a mistaken ballot.

The revised poll breaks a 20th-place tie between Boston College and Arizona State, dropping the Sun Devils into the No. 22 ranking behind California.

Poll voter Ken Tysiac of The Charlotte Observer said he mistakenly sent his Sept. 10 poll ballot, rather than his Sept. 17 ballot, to The AP on Sunday.

"I cut and pasted the wrong file, the previous week's file, into the e-mail that I sent to the AP," Tysiac said Monday, shortly after submitting the correct ballot.

Even though the only change was in the order of the Nos. 20, 21 and 22 teams, AP sports editor Terry R. Taylor said the poll was recalculated to maintain its integrity.

"While we normally do not allow votes to be changed, it was clear in this case that an outdated ballot had been inadvertently submitted and we simply allowed the correct ballot to be substituted," she said.

Tysiac said Observer readers caught his mistake after the paper published his ballot, as it does each Monday during college football season. He said several readers e-mailed to ask why he had Notre Dame ranked ahead of Michigan, despite the Wolverines' 47-21 victory at South Bend, Ind., on Saturday.

"So I went back and checked the record of what I sent," he said. "That's when I realized, 'Oh, crud … '"

It is the first time in memory that The AP has re-issued a college football or college basketball poll to correct such a mistake.

That's a CBS game, right? If Mizzou-OU is the saturday night game, I'd think they'd come to CoMo rather than fly Herbstreit from Florida to Missouri. Especially if neither team loses before then(which would mean OU beating Texas and Mizzou being 8-0). Heck, poll wise it would probably be a similar matchup, especially with Florida having a chance to lose at Auburn the week before.

Look at the bolded part. I took "if not sooner to mean" TT, CU or A&M.

Still, you guys aren't even ranked in the top 30 yet and won't really have any chances to get big wins before that to shoot way up in the rankings. OU already has a loss, is ranked 17th, and may likely get their 2nd loss in a week.

You guys have beaten Murray State, Ole Miss and New Mexico (by 10). Talk about jumping the gun.

That was said as an optimistic hope, not with any sense of entitlement. No one thinks Mizzou is more deserving than anyone else, that's why he said he HOPES we are playing well enough to have that happen when the time comes.

It doesn't list anything on ESPN.com's schedules as to what channel but the Florida-Georgia game is at 1230. There don't appear to be any marquee games that weekend that are TBA. Obviously that could change in 5 weeks but we'll have to wait and see.

Florida-Georgia likely will be on CBS. I think they have rights to the SEC games if they want them.

That's obviously what was being said. Crimeny, all anyone did was show some optimism about what the season may hold, and Cuse was the one that started the conversation for crying out loud. I mean, I can understand hawkeyecub being bitter about the potential matchup they lost(I wasn't around when the situation happened, but from what I have heard there's more to it than you're implying), but I don't get it otherwise.

You guys are taking this like we think we are going to be playing in the title game or something. All we are saying is, this team is a lot different with a throwing QB under center. There are a lot of things to be excited about. We understand it's early, and our schedule has been weak so far, but there is no reason not be excited at this point. We never said "oh we're gonna get this game on National TV, or we're gonna be playing in January," or anything like that. Everything is just hopeful right now. I hope we continue to play this way. I hope the defense stays healthy. I hope Chase Daniel continues to develop into a solid QB. I hope we can compete for the Big 12 North title. I hope we can make a bigger and better bowl game this year. You guys act like you have never gotten excited over early success before, which I know isn't true, because you are Cubs fans as well.
