Jacque charged a 47-hopper to RF and missed it. The ball rolled to the wall and Rolen circled the bases. Rolen was credited with a 1B and RBI as he knocked in the runner on 2B. A three base error on Jacque.

 

I didn't think the pitcher did badly, just no support--typical cobs game.

How many crazy ways have we allowed runs to score in the past 2 years?

 

-Single and a 3 base error

-2 runs score on a wild pitch

-2 runs score on a grounder to SS

-2 runs score on a sacrifice fly

-balk scores a run (game tying run)

-GW run scored on a pickoff at 3B

Sutcliffe playing the "hard working" angle for Pierre.

 

I don't care what angles Sutcliffe plays during the night. He's still better than Joe Morgan. Plus, he might start drinking.
