That sidearm strike out on Fielder was a thing of beauty. I wonder if that was Rothschild's idea, similar to convincing Glendon to throw it.

couldn't even throw a no-hitter.

You were by far the biggest Hill supporter when everyone was hating on him last year. Do you ever get tired of patting yourself on the back for being right?

of course not.

That was sick, even the scattered Brewer fans around me noted how well he looked, especially with that pitch!

Man, I've said this before but. I LOVE watching Rich Hill pitch. He has so much confidence. It's almost like he pitches like there isn't even a batter in the box. "Here Barret, here's a strike. . " . . . . . "Here's another one". . . . "that one missed, dammit".

Rich Hill = awesome.

Any pitcher who A) strikes out a ton of guys and B) doesn't walk too many guys is GREAT to have. I really enjoy watching him pitch. I was also glad Guzman got in for the last two innings there, even if he didn't pitch quite as well.

Did he get to a 3-ball count on anybody last night? I don't remember it happening. I always liked him, but I never imagined that he's have the type of control he's had since coming up the second half of last year. I always thought that if he made it in the majors, he'd get his BB/9 rate down to the reasonable range (4-4.5), keep his H/9 down around 7.5, and strike out a lot of guys. Instead, his control is actually better than the average pitcher. I guess the control issues really were a mental thing.

You can definitely see that he has confidence now compared to when he first came up last year. I'm really excited to see him pitch this year. I think he's going to have an amazing year.

Rich Hill will finish in the top 10 of NL Cy Young voting. There, I said it.

Top 10 isn't bold. Top 5 is. Come on. Go for it. I just might.

Rich Hill will not only win the Cy Young, he will also win the MVP award, along with the MVP of every round of the playoffs, as The Cubs win The World Series.

Then, America will transfer their Rich Hill love to the next level, and make him the next President Of The United States. It will be agreed that he can work from his Chicago office once every five days. :D

yeah, I just realized that only 8 guys got votes last year.

Fine, I'm in. If healthy (he's a Cub, always have to include this disclaimer), top 5 in Cy Young voting.

Top 5? What are you, nuts? Only the Milwaukee Brewers have ever even heard of Rich Hill.

I must be nuts too, because I'm picking him for top 5 as well. The real question is whether Zambrano can get himself back in the top 5.

if ZiPS is right he'd get a few votes and possibly make top 5... if Bill James is right he'll certainly finish top 5 and have a shot at actually winning the award.

And as for Zambrano, I'm picking Hill to have the better year... actually if I had to pick one for my fantasy team before the year, I'd have taken Hill. I'm sold.

I have Hill and forgot to put him in my line up doh.

I had to cover my Zambrano pick in the second round, by picking Hill in the second to last round for fantasy. I am counting on one to be my ace!
