Brad Friedel has come up with a number of great saves in the Man U-Blackburn match as Blackburn leads 1-0.

And just as I'm typing this Carlos Tevez ties the game with a header off a corner. And I have to say, I love how Tevez reacts when he scores a goal. If I didn't know any better, I would think he's never scored ever before.

brad friedel was unbelievable today.

this result sets up a huge chelsea-man utd next week in london.

Jozy Altidore is the truth.

I've seen him take on more defenders in the first 30 minutes of this game against New England than I saw Eddie Johnson do in three years. He just split two defenders about 10 yards outside the box, carry the ball with them hanging off of him, push Jeff Lawrentowicz off and blast one into the top of the net from the top of the box.

Btw, I'm also really impressed with Michael Parkhurst. He is small, but every time Angel or Jozy have gone at him, he has held his own. I think he has a future in Europe and on the MNT.

Watching Jozy play at age 18 is like watching all the Cub prospects that never panned out panning out. Barring injuries, it's looking like was actually have a world class forward who's an actual forward.

I like Parkhurst as well, and I wonder why Bradley hasn't given him more of a look in central defense for the USMNT. Most of his lineups have had the same 2 guys in central defense, and we need to build more depth than just Gooch and Boca.

Olympic Groups:

* USA, Netherlands, Nigeria, Japan

* Argentina, Ivory Coast, Serbia, Australia,

* Brazil, Belgium, China, New Zealand

* Italy, Cameroon, South Korea, Honduras

I bet Giuseppe Rossi is on the Italian squad. Also, the Dutch team is stacked. I don't know how our defenders are going to do against Babel and co. If they bring Huntelaar or RVP, we are going to have to battle for second. We're going to need some continued Freddy Olympic magic if we are going to advance.

This group looks tough. The Dutch team is very good, Nigeria usually always put together a very good Olympic team and will press everyone with their speed, Japan I would expect to be very sound as well. There really is not an easy group when talking about a 16 team world event like this. Hopefully we get Japan first, getting a win in the first game is always critical towards advancing.

So when does Jozy head to Europe?

The smart-ass answer to this would be on May 28, when the USMNT plays England in a friendly.

Isn't Spain before that? I think that could be the big La Liga/Jozy showcase.

England is on May 28, Spain is on June 4. Who knows, Jozy may not be on the plane back to America after that.

I believe it's Spain/England/Argentina/Random Island Nation

Yes, this. Keep him out of the Prem. I'd also wish that a certain Serie A side would have shown more interest in Michael Bradley.

Honestly, either. I know you hate yourself some Juve, but a Serie A CL level side would be a better place for him to develop than playing for a mid table Prem team like Blackburn or whoever it was that's set to buy him this summer.

Oh I totally agree. That's why I said some pages back that although it would enrage me, Juve would be a great place for him. name me one current Juve center mid. I watch Serie A on a weekly basis, and even I have difficulty with that question.

From SBI this morning:

MALDONADO- I heard on the bbc gossip there has been intrest in michael bradley from manchester united. Do you see any possiblities in that happening?

IVES- Is there interest? Yes. Is it something that will happen? I wouldn't bet on it. There is at least one other high-level club with more interest in Bradley than Man U and if signs with that club you will certainly hear shockwaves. Regardless of what happens, I see Bradley signing with a top five club at a top four league (England, Spain, Italy, Germany).

I know his dream spot is Milan.
