I made Mexican fans who had the temerity to sit in the US supporter sections leave.

 

It was an unbelievably awesome game experience. The US fans were loud and great... singing all the time and mocking where appropriate. I don't know if you guys saw on tv, but after the game, the entire team came over to the supporter area. They were riling us up, thanking us and they threw their shirts into the stands... awesome.

 

Glad to read this - it's what attending a home game should be like. :D

Let me tell you, I watched the game last night after I got back from Columbus, and the broadcast just doesn't make it clear how much the wind affected every ball -- both on the ground and in the air. At halftime, for example, they had kids kicking a ball and whoever's ball stopped on a shirt won it... well, no one won because the wind blew all the balls WAY passed the shirts. The wind was brutal.

How on earth can you rate him when he, Mr. Experienced, Mr. Bundesliga stud, Mr. Mexican Ballack had a 21 year old dominate him for 92 minutes? He wasn't at fault for either goal, but the way Mikey and co completely bypassed him with their combination rendered him useless.

 

You don't have to bury the guy, but you can't give him a good grade.

He definitely isn't being assertive, but really, Klose disappears for whole games. Toni and Donovan are more active than him. Honestly Podolski and Toni should start, but that ship has already sailed. Landon's playing too far up where he can't use his speed as much and people seem to be taking away the center of the midfield from Van Bommel and ZeRoberto easily so they can't play it in to Landon. It's always played in by Ribery or Schwein on the wings.

 

Rensing doesn't suck, but he isn't a number one for a big club. Lucio and DiMichelis can both be very good individually but aren't organized well. Lell sucks. Lahm is awesome.

 

 

The only player worth a crap yesterday was Schweinstager.

Remember Eduardo, the Arsenal player who got his leg snapped during an EPL game last year?

 

He's back and after getting an assist in a Croatia over the weekend in an exhibition, he scored two goals in Arsenal's 4-0 FA Cup win over Cardiff today.

 

I'm not an Arsenal fan, but I remember how gruesome that injury was and it's good to see him back.

I like the '92-'94 home jersey. It has a simplicity about it that I like. Understated.
