i'm super pumped for this game too. i haven't been excited for a usmnt match since the gold cup final.

unfortunately, i don't think i'll be able to watch the game until friday afternoon. i don't think i'll be able to avoid spoilers like a european match, so i'll just have to watch knowing the results.

Lineups per Ives:

-------------------Ching--------------------

Beasley----------Donovan--------Dempsey

------------Bradley------Kljestan-----------

Pearce----Bocanegra---Onyewu---Hejduk

-------------------Howard--------------------

No word on the Mexico lineup yet, but this is what I am hearing we will see from 'El Tri':

---------------------Ochoa---------------------

Medina -----------Castillo---------Dos Santos

---------------Pardo-----Leandro------------

Salcido-----Galindo---Marquez------Osorio

------------------Sanchez---------------------

Not really surprising, although I was hoping for JFT to be on the left over Beasley.

Ives also says the weather sucks and conditions are horrible, and some goof on BS is claiming the game is canceled.

I get why USSF picked Columbus, but if this is PPD I'm going to be right pissed.

Howard 9 - Controlled his box, gave no rebounds, robbed Dos Santos early on and was as spectacular as usual.

Bradley 9 - Got stuck in, won balls, made some crisp passes and of course the goals. That was a wonder strike in the 92nd.

Donovan 8 - As usual played with a target on his back, made the first goal happen.

Boca 7 - Organized the back line beautifully, passed well out of the back.

Pearce 7 - Gets up the flank well, holds the ball up and made some excellent tackles in the back.

Hejduk 7 - Frankie can run all day and that's what he did.

Beasley 7 - Created a good chance in the 1st, held the ball well, passed well.

Gooch 7 - Dealt with the conditions well, shut down his marks all night.

Kljestan 6 - Didn't get up much, had some turnover but nothing costly.

Dempsey 6 - Got no service, wasn't dangerous but tracked back well and played some strong d.

Ching 6 - Held the ball decent, didn't get much service to work with, pestered the back line.

Jozy n/a - Wish he would have gotten the start over Ching, but this was a crucial game so I don't mind going with experience. Too strong, too fast, only a matter of time before he explodes.

Clark n/a - Good ball winner, but really poor passer. If Mastroeni wasn't suspended for cards, he wouldn't have made the squad. Nice holding midfield backup though. I'd put him as the 4th option at best though.
