the end of the 2004 season combined with the beginning of the 2005 season, when even the most ardent neifi-hater was starting to wonder if cubbie blue somehow turned neifi into a productive player.

My favorite Neifi moment occured the morning of June 3, 2006 when after 19 straight games of being snubbed, Neifi finally scribbled some resemblance of a signature on the team ball of one of the worst Cubs teams in existience.

Its hard to hate Neifi. if I were him and someone was fool enough to offer me the contract Jim did, I'd grab it and not ask questions. I thinhk he stinks, but its hard to blame him for what occurred....

I just found out that he was traded when I clicked on this thread. So this, right now, is my favorite Neifi moment. (HR against the Giants in 98 WAS good, though.)

Alright, I'll give one good one...I think in the same series at St. Louis last year where he hit the GS, Neifi snagged the 3rd out of the 9th for the win when Pujols fired a screming bullet his way. That was pretty cool and made me love him for a brief instant.

 

Oh, and I'll miss the way his bulbous ass mysteriously stayed aloft on top of those bizarre chicken legs. Maybe that bulge he was constantly fondling balanced the whole mess out.
