I hope we can get a couple runs here. It's obvious that whoever comes in for the Cubs in the 9th is going to allow at least one run.

I have no faith in anyone not named O'Malley right now.

Who would have said that (if we can get three scoreless outs) O'Malley and Marmol would have 3 times as many wins as Prior and Wood this year.

True. But didn't he shut out the Cubs twice this year? Once a MMP and once at Wrigley, I think.

 

Although I'm not positive on that.

I haven't been watching, but it doesn't look like Andy pitched a bad game.

And to think, Ryan O'Malley went to bed last night with absolutely zero idea that tomorrow he'd be pitching 8 shut-out innings for his first win in his first major league start. Life can sure be unpredictable at times.
