missed the conference but the bulls website is pimping the signing hard, (i.e. new intro page)

Geez, think Pax is happy about the signing?

I have heard that Sefolosha has looked really good so far in summer league play.

Why didn't he play tonight?

The Bulls sent the exhausted Sefolosha home as they saw more than enough from him in the first two games and the numerous practices they’ve seen. Sefolosha hasn’t had a rest in quite some time after playing a long Italian league season and then working his way through over a dozen workouts leading up to the draft.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was like that, but the highlights just had DNP (Coach's decision) next to Sefo's name with no explanation.

Interesting, because reports indicated that Paxson wanted to go after Pryzbilla, but Reinsdorf indicated that he was willing to pay for Wallace.

Btw, how many owners would love to have our GM and coach right now?

I'm guessing somewhere between 20 and 29.

Let it be known (to Raisin) that SAS just went on and on about how Kobe was comparable/maybe even better (one day) than Jordan.

Of course, some of that was probably just the expected butt kissing since Kobe was on his show.

Final Summer League game

Chicago's Tyrus Thomas was stellar in the first half on Friday, netting 16 points and helping the Bulls jump out to a big lead that would never be relinquished in a 92-77 win over the New Jersey Nets. Thomas finished with 22 points for the game, while Cedric Banks led the Bulls with 26.

Luke Schenscher also had his best performance of the week, scoring 16 points and grabbing six boards as the Bulls finished the game by shooting 53 percent from the field. The win gave Chicago a 2-3 record in the Pepsi Pro Summer League.

I don't really know anything about the summer league. Is there a chance that a good summer league showing would get a guy like Cedric Banks a D-League Contract?

Skiles looks like a legitimate scary dude in that pic. Reminds me of Schillinger from Oz...

LMAO----it's so true. Pax is in his suit & tie, and it looks like they plucked Skiles from his lawn chair where he was sipping drinks. I hope he has a designated driver

That's hilarious. Kobe best season comes at the age of 27, and still falls short of the seasons Jordan put up regularly from age 23 through 33, and now Kobe might be better than MJ?

MJ never quit on his team, let alone in a game 7.

SAS was seriously sucking up.

SAS has been very outspoken about how he thinks Kobe ruined the Lakers by sending Shaq away, so to see him sucking up to him so hardcore pretty much erodes any hope of me having respect for the man.

Pacer may end up with Harrington from a Mark Stien article on ESPN.com.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=stein_marc&id=2519835

When Peja Stojakovic reached a verbal agreement to sign with the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on the first day of free agency earlier this month, it appeared the Pacers would get nothing back for Stojakovic, the longtime Larry Bird favorite they acquired from Sacramento in January's Artest trade.

Yet Indiana quietly salvaged something Wednesday -- the first day Stojakovic could officially join the Hornets -- that potentially carries big value.

Stress potentially.

By chipping in an undisclosed cash payment, Indiana convinced the Hornets to participate in a sign-and-trade for Stojakovic instead of just signing him away outright.

So the Pacers sent Stojakovic and the cash to New Orleans/Oklahoma City for the rights to 1998 second-round pick Andy Betts, who likely will never play for Indiana, thus creating a $7.5 million trade exception that gives Indiana a new tool with which to complete a sign-and-trade with Atlanta for the player they most covet to replace Stojakovic: Al Harrington.

Potentially.

Seems like a pretty shrewd move by the Pacers.

I dont get that. Can someone explain to me how that works?

I don't understand the logistics behind it either, but it sure looks like a solid move for Indiana as they'd pick up a guy better than the one they're replacing for less money.

Yeah, which is why I'm curious to discover how they managed that. I'm sure 1908 can help us out with an answer.

The NBA salary cap is a maze. I'm not sure why the Pacers get a $7.5M traded player exception, but the exception allows them to add up to $7.5M in salaries in a trade even though they are at/over the cap. It cannot be used to sign a free agent.

Wow, that stuff gets pretty confusing. Larry Bird exception, haha

Bulls sign Adrian Griffin for 3 years. Obviously not expecting much from Griff besides his veteran leadership, but his defense is very top-notch and he is definitely a Skiles-type player. With this year's team, I'm expecting him to get limited minutes, but it's still a good signing by Pax. I still can't believe all the depth that we have on our roster for this coming season.
