*sigh* This team is frustrating on so many levels...

Anyway... should be an interesting series from the TrashBag Dome. Although defining "interesting" is a chore.

Go TWINS~!

Big scary lefties don't scare me. Unleash the beast that is NEIFI!!! My only fear is that Fast Freddie Bynum will see no action.

Cubs will lose 11-0 because they're one of the few teams that suck much, much more than the Twins.

You know, there was a time when a Santana-Prior matchup would have been like an amazing wet dream. But now, I dont even care. I know the cubs are going to get clobbered and probably have a perfect game thrown against them.

Its really sad when wins aren't even gratifying anymore. Used to, the cubs could go on a 5 game losing streak, but as soon as they one that first game, I was all pumped and ready to go again. I seriously think they would have to win about twelve in a row before I even pretend to care.

Cubs suck.

Look for Neifi to bat against a fastball throwing lefty. Who knows, it worked last time....

Anyway. Prospects grim for this game. Have Prior on fantasy team but benching him for this one. I'll probably watch it anyway though.

This is one of 3 series' that are huge for the Twins (others are Yankees and Red Sox). I was fortunate enough to go to one of the Red Sox games in Minneapolis. The Twins play with passion, and have been my favorite AL team for quite some time. 8) I will not be able to watch any TV this weekend though, as my fiance is moving in Saturday and I will be playing golf and travelling tomorrow.

Prior can't pitch any worse against the Twins than he did against the Tigers can he?

This team has done a very good job of answering those kinds of questions affirmatively.

Cubs lose 3-0.

Santana throws a no-no

Prior gives up no hits in 8 2/3 but then his arm explodes after throwing 135 pitches... Mauer hits a 3 run jack off of Howry as his arm falls off.

Did the Cubs move Prior back a day? Cubs.com has Marmol's picture for the next game. Carlos is also featured in the probable starters section. If so, I like it.

HAHAHAHA. On Saturday the Cubs will be facing a guy named Boof.

LOL, yeah I saw that. Apparently, the Cubs want Prior to have a, seemingly, easier opponent. The switch also says something about what they feel about Marmol's abilities.

ESPN says Prior on Friday and Marmol on Saturday but cnnSI has the same thing as Cubs.com which is the opposite of ESPN.com.

I know for a fact that earlier today, Prior was listed as tomorrow's starter on Cubs.com. That's why I was wondering if the Cubs announced a change in the last hour...

Is it his first start? I've heard a lot about him.

FYI, Prior is definitely not pitching in this game. Cubs.com has now updated the article they had about Prior kicking off the series (it's now replaced with Marmol)

I wonder why Prior was pushed back, and why there hasn't been any explanation given by the Cubs. It's like the Cubs were hoping no one would notice the change.

I could be wrong, but I think they moved Prior back because the Twins pushed Bonser's start back a day. I don't think the Cubs ever wanted Prior to oppose Santana; I think they're trying to keep the pressure off him to be at his best while also giving themselves the best chance to win.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire has decided to move Boof Bonser's start to Saturday. This will keep Santana, who started Sunday against the Pirates, on five days rest.
