Holy crap, someone just hit a ball OVER the wall into the stands! Is that allowed?!?

To quote the great Kenny Mayne . . .

He hit it over some fencing they had set up in the outfield.

So we see games where the Cubs can get around a dozen singles and bring nobody home...then they finally hit three homeruns in a single game and NOTHING else?!?

another gem

"that american league over there, they got some guys that can hit" - Dusty

Well Dusty, it is call "hitting", you know the thing you do when you swing the bat, and hit the ball? Apparently your team don't comprehend this fact.

It makes one wonder..... :-k

Spring Training teams go over execution of plays, working on bunts, pick offs, getting the pitchers/hitters in shape for the season. It is also about getting playing time to knock off the rust on players, while taking a look at some of the young guys. In other words...it's about the team getting to know one another.

With that said....What the heck where the Cubs doing in Spring Training? It wasn't working on "skills" for the season. Why do the Cubs even have Spring Training?
