Anyone know what Pierre's SB total takes his OPS up to?

BP's metric for the addition to OBP that stolen bases should provide would give Pierre a boost from .277 to .290 (prior to today).

OPS = ( H + BB + HBP ) / ( AB + BB + HBP - SF).

Not affected by SB one way or the other, no?

Well, technically no. But I know in the offseason some people talked about how his OBP was essentially lower due to his Caught Stealing totals, so it only makes sense to adjust his SLG for bases that he steals if you're adjusting his OBP for his CS's.

How bout that Michael Barrett! Zambrano might get a complete game shutout! :shock:

Yeah, that's true.... but it's all pretty esoteric, if you ask me.

I blame Estaban Yan for their being a hole in the wall and sucking and making the cubs win resulting in a 10 year baker extension.

Wait, I'm confused. How would stealing a base, when a player is already on base (obviously), boost his OBP?

maybe he meant reaching on Error raising OBP, which I think it should.

It would be a boost to SLG.
