so after even a bigger fluke here i am again. but this is the cubs, we're not sweeping the cards in st. louis no matter who gets injured, but hey, 2/3 is still fun so let's all enjoy the game.

without him they are offense-less. Time for a sweep, and a 10 game winning streak on the road...

I'm posting what I had in the other game thread for this game since I'm assuming the other one will be deleted.

 

 

Well since Maddux has two wins against the Cards this year, it would be nice to see him get his third. I would love to see him come with his phenomenal stuff. So good in fact, that Tony LaRussa and company ask the ump to check the ball again.

While I don't like Maddux's history against the Cubs in the past, he's pwned them this year, and plus, having Pujols out of the lineup weakens everyone.

 

AND, we've got monsters splits vs. Marquis.

 

I like our odds for the sweep.

Well.... it's 1-0, I guess..... but look at the CUBS' luck. Pujols is gonna be out for 6 weeks, but we don't face the Cardinals again for 8 weeks. It figures.

And it's on WGN! Yessss! Visiting the folks out in Arizona so I get to watch the game today! The one (and maybe only) good thing about baker is under him since 2003 we've handled the Cards very well, home or away....
