So I'm a Cardinals fan that was born and raised in St. Louis and did all of my education and a two year residency at UMKC.

1. Pujols hasn't lied about his age. A few points on this:

A. Cubbie Rich alluded to some rival high school having a beef. Not that I recall. All evidence suggests that he was cleared and vetted by the MHSAA like any other player. It was a select team that had a complaint, and that was dealt with. Why does he have to have his BC online to pacify Cubbie Rich?

2. Pujols has been tested for steroids THREE TIMES this year.

3. There is no test for HGH, but what evidence does anyone have that Pujols is on it? He's always been a big guy. Even in high school, he was pretty doughy. In the past few seasons, he's gotten bigger, for sure. Around his gut. Not exactly the side affect of performance enhancing drugs.

4. As a beneficiary of a PFF fundraiser (I work with special needs kids and our program got lots of memorabilia from albert and deidre) i'm glad he charges a high amount, THROUGH HIS OWN WEBSITE, for his autograph. The money goes to charity. You can still walk up to a fence in spring training, or around town, and get an autograph for free. I did.

That's it. Looking forward to talkin baseball with some northsiders.

Wow! I'll have to get an atlas for all these Cards fans locations. What power the Cubs fans have over them to come here to talk baseball. Now..onto destroying your points.

1) Pujols' age was in question by a rival KC high school. His HS-Fort Osage-even petitioned to have Pujols eligible for another year. Pujols admits he even lied to get a date with his wife. Many media people have questioned his age and until he produces a 'certified birth certificate'-they will continue to do so. But not to worry, a couple of Cards fans are busy looking for it and have promised to show all of us here. Still waiting.

2) Glad he says he's has been tested 3 times. But then MLB is prohibited from even commenting on any sort of testing schedule. So, that story is coming from who?

3) I hope your 2 years of residency wasn't in anything medical. There are plenty of tests for HGH, but they involve blood testing-not just urine testing. Pujols knows that players can not be tested for HGH under the current contract and substance abuse policy. But if he wants to step up and be a leader-I will pay for his HGH test at a medical clinic in Downers Grove.

4) It's one thing to sell your autograph, it's another to jack up the price for your autograph and hide behind some foundation. There are plenty of players who have done more in the game and don't charge as much. Sandberg, Banks, Williams, Santo come to mind right away.

Pujols travels to the Dominican Republic every offseason. For anybody to travel there or any other island in the Caribbean they need to have a birth certificate or a passport which also requires a birth certeficate to get. Therefore Pujols has provided a birth certificate before to the proper authority. Just because he hasn't knocked on your door and personally shown it to you doesn't mean that other people haven't seen it.

Bernie Miklacz a very respected journalist,

By whom?

People who for some reason respect journalists.

In other news:

Albert opens restaurant; all proceeds go to charity

Albert Pujols will take the next logical step in the life of a St. Louis sports legend today, announcing the opening of his first restaurant at Patrick’s in West Port Plaza.

All proceeds from the restaurant will go to the Pujols Family Foundation, a faith-based charity focused on children, those with Down Syndrome and their families.

Sorry haters, but he really is a good guy. Whether you respect his claims of his age or steroid use or not, you can't deny he is a good man.

Or are the prices at his restaurant going to be too high, Cubbierich?

I really don't know what's more pathetic, the Cubs fans obsession with claiming that Pujols isn't his listed age, or the Cards fans obsession with trying to prove that Pujols is a good guy and all Cubs fans must admit it.

Who cares? Cubs fans hate to see Pujols do well because he plays for the Cardinals. The Cubs have 20 wins and are already 13.5 games back. Does there really need to be any further investigation into this?

Well, considering there's not an ounce of evidence that Pujols isn't his listed age, and there are mountains of evidence that he's a good guy............. it seems pretty obvious which one is more pathetic.

I agree. There is so much proof as to Pujols being a model citizen and class act. To even feel the need to defend against detractors is definitely more pathetic.

Found that birth certificate yet? I know someone in Dayton who wants to help. He'll have to cut his mullet and puny beard, but he should fit right in.

When did Pujols become a U.S. citizen? You wouldn't need a U.S. passport to travel to the DR, if you were a DR citizen. You need to travel a little, my friend.

As to your 'Pujols was tested in the WBC for HGH' claim. He was not.

March 16, 2006 - The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) expressed serious doubts today about the anti-doping policy implemented during the World Baseball Classic (WBC) and called for baseball officials to publicly disclose the details of the policy and testing program prior to the end of the tournament. “It’s very simple. We are asking baseball to come clean and set the record straight,” said WADA President Richard Pound. “Either baseball officials seriously want to rid their sport of doping, or they want to brush the issue under the carpet. So far, we haven’t seen much evidence of the former.”

There have been obvious contradictions between public statements made by baseball officials and the information provided to players. MLB, MLBPA, and IBAF officials have claimed publicly that the WBC would be implemented according to the World Anti-Doping Code. Yet information circulated by baseball officials among WBC players conflicts in several ways with the World Anti-Doping Code. For example, significant performance enhancing substances that are part of the World Anti-Doping Code, such as ephedrine, human growth hormone and DHEA, are not banned by the WBC. Players on provisional rosters could not be tested by WADA as part of the Agency’s global out-of-competition testing program. And, public disclosure of pre-WBC anti-doping violations was not permitted.

Oops..at least you are consistent. And Bernie Miklacz is a good fiction writer and mixes the Cardinal Kool-Aid real good.

Now find that birth certificate and also that HGH test that Pujols took. And Jimmy Hoffa would be good too.

So Pujols has been on HGH since he came into professional baseball in 2000?

You're really making yourself look bad with this crusade against Pujols.

Pujols was a wirey cat when he first came into the league.

He didn't start taking HGH until his 93rd birthday in 2000, when he changed his name as well.

Did I say he was a U.S. citizen? I said he needed a birth certificate to travel to the DR and back. Therefore he would need a DR birth certificate to get back into the U.S. Further more he would need to obtain the required documentation to be able and stay in the U.S., which also requires a birth certificate. You are only making yourself look like a fool here.

He is a US citizen.

I didn't know one way or another, but I definately knew that he has had to produce a birth certificate to travel back and forth.

The truth is in the navel. The man has no belly button - therefore no gestation in the womb.

Only three people in the history of the world have been born without sin - the Virgin Mary, Jesus, and Albert Pujols.
