YES, Cubs now last in MLB in OBP, SLG

The Cubs' team OBP is .300. I'll try to explain how bad that is.

 

The Blue Jays have a team batting average of .299. Nine teams have a team OBP at or above .350. All but nine teams have an OBP at or above .330.

 

But wait, there's more! The Cubs also have the worst slugging percentage and, obviously, the worst OPS in baseball. Toronto's OPS is nearly 200 points higher than the Cubs', and the next worst OPS (Angels) is still 20 points above the Cubs.

 

The Devil Rays are only .004 behind the Cubs in batting average. If the D-Rays can surpass the Cubs in that category, we'll be witnessing the awesome feat of having the worst team BA, OBP and SLG.

Oh my thats some major suckage. Is it really that bad? Uh. So if derrek lee was in the lineup that would make them the 15th best team in baseball offensively? And that would be average. No way jose. This team is sucking regardless of DLee.
