The fecal league has recently experienced.... shrinkage.

2006 Fecal League Standings (as of 5/25/06)

Team W L PCT GB
=============   ==      ==      ====    ===
Chicago Cubs 18 28 .391 -
Pittsburgh 14 31 .311 3.5
Florida 14 33 .298 4.5
Kansas City 10 35 .222 7.5

As always though - while the league may stink, the Cubs remain at the top of the pile.

I see realignment has taken the Nationals out of our division.

This is meant as a joke honestly but here's what I see happening.. even though I'm a Cards fan!

1. Juan Pierre CF

2. Neifi Perez 3B

3. Todd Walker 1B

4. Ronny Cedeno SS

5. Tony Womack 2B

6. Freddie Bynum RF

7. Jerry Hairston LF

8. Henry Blanco C

9. Carlos Zambrano SP

Dusty loves his middle infielders doesnt he? Blanco usually catches Zambrano right? Well then.. I'll probably be wrong on Bynum cuz he could be gone with Womack around..

Despite reports to the contrary, this is the real reason for Frank Robinson's tears.

It’s not nice for a Cards fan to kick Cubs fans when they are down.

Actually tomorrow we unveil Hendry’s master plan. Last time the Cards were in town we collected some hairs from their dugout. The cloning process is complete and here is our starting lineup.

1. Juan Pierre CF

2. Neifi Perez 3B

3. Todd Pujols 1B

4. Ronny Pujols SS

5. Tony Pujols 2B

6. Freddie Pujols RF

7. Jerry Pujols LF

8. Henry Pujols C

9. Carlos Zambrano SP

If they all show up with mascara, they grabbed the wrong hair brush.

Fred, you're making my brain hurt with all these numbers you keep throwing around. I got a couple for you: Braves 78, Cubs 0.

Of course the Cubs will win this game, and likely two of three.

Anything to get our hopes up for a moment and then...

smack! down again.

Or we sweep Atlanta to set up the inevitable...

DUSTY BAKER EXTENTION!!

So Pierre might finally be moved from the leadoff spot, and we might have a new leadoff hitter today. Oh wait, it's probably Tony Womack.

Womack will be hitting 2nd playing 2B. You can bank on that!

cause you have to get him right into the mix so he can feel comfortable...just like Theriot...oh, wait, nevermind.

Of couse! You can't have a Vet just sitting on the bench. His bones might get a bit creaky...

I don't know how many games, I have watched where I have heard the announcers say "starting tonight (insert player) who was just called up from triple-A this morning". Seems like anytime a guy is called up they start that night. Well unless that player plays for a Dusty Baker managed ball club.

Admittedly, I haven't watched this trainwreck as closely as normal over the past few weeks...but did Theriot EVER get a start?

Wow...4 at bats over 2+ weeks, I mean, what more shot could Dusty have given him. Good Riddance to the unproductive scrub.

The fact that Tony Womack might start this game is reason enough not to bother watching.

And you'd rather see Neifi or Hairston in the lineup?

No Womack in today's lineup, but our savior is in the 2-hole and fast-Freddie in LF:

1. Pierre CF

2. Neifi 2b

3. Walker 1b

4. Barrett C

5. Jones RF

6. Ramirez 3b

7. Bynum LF

8. Cedeno SS

9. Zambrano P

Nice -- Bynum should provide some good protection for ARam.....

I'm sure Aram will see a bunch of good pitches today with the power-hitting Bynum hitting behind him. Should be a wonderful day for Aram to hit. :x

Simply awful. Look at the black hole at 1,2... What a fricken joke.
