Wow, look at that crowd.

 

The Cubs play some of the worst ball imaginable and they are rewarded with a packed house at home. I know it's a nice day and all, but damn.

 

Could be because it's a holiday weekend, alot of out of towners.

Yeah my thoughts too. Pat said the attendance was 40,000 plus, which is shocking and disappointing.

So how will the Cubs blow it today?

 

I predict Dempster gives up a walk and a two out HR, leading to extra innings and Novoa giving up a two run double in the tenth.

It's not shocking, and it shouldn't be disappointing. These tickets were sold months ago, when people were buying the hope. Do you expect people to just give them up? The bad play has already been reflected in the dismal tv ratings. If it continues, it will have an effect on attendance. But with so many tickets sold already, you can't reasonably expect people not to use them.
