I DO have long hair, so I take the catcher position. I can surely sucker punch as well as Barret. And I'm good at "catching the ball". So I should be perfect. :D

I'm 6'2 and have a pretty good reach, so I can probably cover 1b. Although, on this team, 6'2 makes me pretty short, haha.

I can't hit or field as well as lee, but damn is my voice smooth. I also promise to swing 99% less than Mabry, esp when the pitch is shoulder-high :D

I'll say "no doubt about it" a lot too.

I like what we have here. Can a Forum file for an expansion team?

Yes. I think the premium membership has generated enough money to surpass Florida Marlins payroll.

Pitching Staff: soccer10k, HHHBK21, Cubbies75

C: Long hair. Good at hiding brass knuckles.

1B: Some tall guy.

2B: IowaCubsFan

3B: Cubbies75

SS: Some short guy who can stop.

RF: Roast

CF: Outshined

LF: BigSlick

Bench: ndistops, reggiemiller rules

Ryan Theriot: UMFan83

Manager: Anyone who believes the 27 outs is the most valueable posession we have.

i called short im short and i have lightning speed and i have the glove work for short well.. hitting wel ill do better then neifi! :D

Fine, I guess I can babysit you guys while you are playing baseball. But player be ware...I demand players, who actually KNOWS what OBP means. I demand the players play the game "the right way." I want players who actually do more then "just show up." Willing to do that....then we got the Baker's Cubs beaten before a pitch is EVEN thrown.

I think Hendry believes that OBP means "Only Bad Players."

We won't let ya down, coach!

I enjoy how everyone on this board with an arm condition is volunteering to pitch.

I'm 5'7, 155 lbs, but I'm scruffy, I hustle, and I have surprising pop. Think of me like a lovable Marcus Giles in CF. :D

To quote a song from my favorite Christian musician, Steve Taylor...

"Life unwinds like a cheap sweater,

But since I gave up hope I feel a lot better.

And the truth gets blurred like a wet letter,

But since I gave up hope I feel a lot better

WHile the world winds down to a final prayer

NOthing soothes quicker like complete despair

I predict by dinner I won't even care

But since I gave up hope I feel a lot better."

I think the Mizzou faction could be a pretty sweet infield. Cubbies75 is a big target at 1B, I don't know what da bears looks like but he can't be worse than Walker at 2B, I got the range at short, and Mizzou looks like he could handle the hot corner.

I kind of look like Babe Ruth... so I could be a hitting coach... or perhaps Manager... or Bench Coach! That's always sounded like a fun job...

Well, i'm 6'-8" 230 and used to play first, right and starting pitcher. So I can do any of those, although, I'm not very fast and can't field very well, but I have a rocket for an arm.. I'd make a good Brooks Kieschnick

Not sure how much more of this I can stomach. Nothing like sitting in a bar in Washington and having to listen to Nationals (of all teams) fans laughing as replays of the Cubs dropping 2 straight to the fish airs.

Welcome to the forums! (albeit in trying times)

This person is brave, aren't they.

Well I did take a blow to the head recently, so I'm clearly not completely sane.

we need a left handed batting practice pitcher...that is FOR SURE

I was gonna lay claim to this one. I'm not actually left handed...and I don't even pitch that well right handed...but I'm even worse at hitting, and pretty bad in the field too. But man I love baseball, so I've gotta be involved, and I figure this is where I can do the least damage.
