Tomorrow's off day should be a great time for Dusty and Hendry to finalize and announce Dusty's three-year extension.

:pint:

Alright, enough making fun of the Cubs. Like you could do any better. You know the extension won't be longer than 2 years, to coincide with Hendry's.

My bad. I almost forgot. I'll stick my head back in the sand now.

So, let me get this straight..

DLee is hurt

Wood has a 91mph fastball

Word it that Prior has lost velocity too

I can almost guarantee you so has Wade Miller

Maddux is finally back to his old man self

We have the worst OF in baseball

Worst bench in the majors

So, basically the only things the Cubs have going for themselves is Z, and the bullpen. Great job Hendry.

Wood was throwing around 95-96 in his last start.

And speculation is he may be bumped from his next start.

Not consistently. I saw the game and he was at 91 a lot. Pre-surgery he wouldn't go lower than 96.

Can we just put Rusch in? The game is already over so he can't lose it for us.

No, he's in the rotation again. Haven't you heard?

Please no. For who?

Either Sunday for Wood, or Tuesday, the next time they need a 5th starter.

Rich Hill. Dusty and Hendry got together and decided that Rusch can give up just as many runs as Hill, but at a higher price.

Rusch in to pitch for the CUBS

Well, maybe the Cubs have been reading up on the benefits of a four-man rotation and decided they don't need a fifth starter.

I'm thinking about going to get lunch but am well aware of the risk of eating and then listening to Cubs baseball on gameday audio at work. Nothing's worse than being known as the "puking guy" at work.

So I ultimately decided to grab lunch and then listen to the game.

:-&

Because the sick face above doesn't do the sickness I feel any justice, just imagine that scene in Tommy Boy where Farley describes the car accident deriving from poor brake pads and remember the sound of the 'new guy' paramedic hurling ...

"Here comes the ambulance. 'Oh. My. God.' New guy puking in the corner... 'blluuaaaech ... blluuaaaech ... blluuaaaech.' All because you wanted to save fifteen cents on some brake pads."

There. That's how I feel. That and rage. But I'm too nauseated and weak to lash out.
