i thought pierre was supposed to be a good bunter.

It was actually a pretty good bunt, but everyone in the city saw it coming.

true. what i should have said was - i thought pierre was supposed to be good at bunting for hits. i guess when you can't hit the ball past the mound, the infield can play you kinda close.

Pierre doesn't have the confidence to swing the bat anymore. Bunting has become his primary option. Seems like most of his swings are defensive hacks with 2 strikes.

We've gone from the lineup we were going to field in '04 to Michael Barrett trying to hit cleanup because Ramirez can't cut it in '06.

My God.

Well if anything was gonna happen it was gonna be right then or late in the ballgame.

So I guess the drama is on hold for a while.

I can hear Hawk in between innings. This could be interesting.

Was accidentally watching WGN before realizing Len and Bob were on comcast. This is what Hawk said about Barrett/P... : "A lot of people don't realize, A.J. hit Barrett a lot harder than Barrett hit A.J. Barrett got knocked down, A.J. didn't hardly even flinch."

That's paraphrased, but essentially his words.

Well, Harrelson is the biggest instigator of them all.
