on pujols first inning homerun, "he knows, he's been pitching me outside all day, so he reaches out . . ."

its the first inning! Do you really need to over-analyze albert? He's just really fricggin' good. Kruk's analysis is much better - "you pitch it, he hits it."

He also said it would be a shame if Busty got fired because of Prior, Wood, and Lee.

Kruk said Jenks is coming around (as he got hit tonight).

It's just a parde of idiots on Barroid Bonds Tonight.

you would think a show dedicated just to baseball could find some analysts that know something about baseball.

the aura of steve phillips decreases IQ points by an exponential factor of 3 for every second you are around him.

like the bart simpson grade effect model that principal Skinner made?

I think Kruk is more of a cone of ignorance than Phillips:

Can you imagine what they could get for one of these guys? You can't tell me that Yankees' general manager Brian Cashman wouldn't listen if the Cubs called up and offered Prior for Robinson Cano. That would possibly be a great trade for both teams because the Yankees look like they are going to need a frontline pitcher and the Cubs could finally get the second baseman they've desperately needed since Ryne Sandberg retired.

Prior for Cano, eh? We "need that 2B", eh?

Last I checked, we have one hitting .300, and have for over two seasons now. Goes by Todd Walker.

hahaha...John Kruk is brilliant.

Career stats (only 160 games for Cano though):

Walker: .291/.349/.440

Cano: .303/.326/.456

Kruk thinks it's a good idea to give up MARK PRIOR for that "upgrade". BRILLIANT!!

While Zambrano was facing the 2nd batter of the night one of the SF announcers said, "He's been avoiding the inside half of the plate all night", or something to that effect.

Baseball people can be very dumb.

That might be the dumbest idea I have heard in months, and that is saying something.

More dumbness. Z threw his best pitch of the year on the inner half of the plate to K Bonds in his 3rd AB last night.

And while we at...we can trade Carlos Zambrano for Adam Kennedy. Kerry Wood for Orlando Hudson. Maybe we could the Reds to trade Brandon Phillps(more likely Rich Aurilla) for Maddux. And if we are lucky we might even get the Rockies to trade us Luis Gonzalez (the INF, not the OFer) for Marshall AND Guzman. I mean, you can't have too many 2B on one roster. All of this would fall under the "Phillips dunderhead file." Geez, no wonder he hasn't found a GM job since the Mets canned his butt.

had nothing to do with the down and away movement of his fastball last night either.

It's not Mike Krukow's fault he was drunk last night. The game didn't start until after 7 out here. Can you really expect him not to drink until 1000?

Well, there were all those warmup pitches before the game started, and then the first batter, and...
