jones is hopeless. i just can't picture his approach/swing ever leading to decent contact. how in the world did he hit 20+ hr and hit .300??

"We like a lot of things about Jacque," Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said Tuesday in announcing the deal. "He's a very versatile guy. We were very intent on trying to get a left-handed hitter. He's very athletic, has some pop in his bat, an outstanding throwing arm. He's a versatile player and had a lot of upside in him."

It is just painful to watch JJ's swing. He flys open too soon and because of that his swing is even longer. He just has a terrible approach.

That Neifi/Hill/Walker play at first base has happened all too often under Dusty's watch.

blind luck. His approach is awful. Has any hitting coach ever told him to shorten up his swing?
