just a reminder to everyone..SF's bullpen is the worst in the majors based on ERA.

of course they don't have Fassero anymore, but still, it's not over yet.

It's the Cubs offense. We couldn't score on a 6+ Starter and 6 + ERA against SD (I believe)

not neifi's fault. hill could have tagged him or beat him to the bag.

A secondbaseman with normal sized legs could have gotten to first on time. I totally blame Neifi.

actually he got there, he just couldn't find the bag. anyway, neifi sucks.

unforunately, neifi has sausage legs.

pretty good outing by hill tonight. send him back out for another? i'd like to see him go seven, but i'm afraid it may not end well going through the order a fourth time. gave up seven hits, but a couple were cheapies. of course, he did get spared giving up one BIG hit. :D

What does everyone think about Hill's performance thus far tonight?

He's looked good considering the circumstances (bonds going for 714). Can't expect much better considering his experience.

I'm pretty impressed, and hoping that maybe he is starting to put things together. If he can get out of this game giving up only 3 runs considering the pressure tonight I think it could be a huge boost.

yeah I realize our offense blows. Just trying to gain any optimism I can get out of this.

Hill's performance seems to have quelled some of the angst over the pathetic offense. I suggest we return to our regularly scheduled program.

67 pitches through 6 innings... dont expect to see the bullpen.

What's Schmidt's pitch count?

that's sad.

I wouldn't worry too much he's been known to throw 140 in complete games.

that ball was gone after seeing that replay again.

considering you know you won't get any runs, hill has pitched well. I would chalk this up as a good outing. eyre faces barry next time though,

With Felipe Alou, Schmidt could probably go 14 tonight if the Cubs somehow score two more...

well, to get to 144, he would need to go 11+

Vizcaino struck out (called)

Have to listen to the Giants announcers on INHD, but seeing that big hook in HD was just absolutely unbrlievable.

For some freaking reason, Comcast's INHD broadcast isn't coming in for me. Instead, I'm getting the fuzzy WGN garbage.
