I predict that I won't watch this game.

Seconded. I'll be watching the Lakers-Suns Game 6.

I'd rather watch a Devil Rays Vs. Royals game before I watch a Pro-Basketball game.

I know a lot of people on this board will be watching the Bulls-Heat Game 6, as long as it's close, before the Cubs game.

I'm sure they will...

This Cubs isn't nearly as exciting as the Bulls are. The Bulls are young, fresh, and play hard. The Cubs are old, bad, and sometimes unfun to watch.

I wouldn't argue the points with you about bad and unfun to watch.... but isn't this about the youngest CUBS team we've seen in a couple of generations ??

I'll give you college basketball any day of the week.....as long as that day is between November and early April.

Otherwise tonight I'm watching:

Survivor

My Name is Earl

The Office

End of Game 6 (Bulls/Heat)

My pillow

Young is relative when you're as old as you :D

Good point, Fred ;)

this team is about as bad as ive seen it, no motivation whatsoever. It is like a broken record of last year but without a guy hitting .450. Cubs get swept tonight. so much for everyone saying if they just could keep their head above water, too bad the storm is getting worse and the water is rising. Cy Young, oops read that wrong, Juan Cruz will give up one run, a home run by Aram on 4 hits and 1 walk in a Complete game.

And yet we are still 14-12. Hang in there! If we can just ride this out and get healthy we'll be alright.

what are we since Lee got injured, 4-6?

5-7, I believe.

ya my brain metally blocked last nights game to save itself any damage

Yeah, 5-7 is correct.

Does that include the game he was injured in? They came back and won after he got hurt.

I don't care anymore. I really don't. Do whatever you want. Lose 16-0 or win 27-2 for all I care. I won't start caring again until you win 5 in a row or get to 1st place in the NL Central. Both of which are as likely as the Royals winning the World Series this year.

WCIU :x

I have to pretend TO watch this game. I justified paying for the Extra Innings to my wife by saying that

"I will get all the Cubs games not on WGN and other important games."

She fired back with:

"You won't watch any other teams unless the Cubs are playing them."

And I said:

"You're right, but thats a lot of Cubs games to watch."

So now I have to watch even though I don't want to, but at least she is in bed by 10:00, so I can just pretend to watch the second half. :?

I predict that the Cubs will be leading the whole game until the Bulls game ends and I start fully paying attention to the Cubs game. The Cubs will immediately give up 5 runs in whatever inning they are playing in.

Hopefully the Bulls go into triple overtime then (and win on a half court buzzer beater).

The things that stand out to me from the stats of the day.

1. When the Cubs play as complete a game as they can, they win.

2. When the Cubs fail to execute in any one area they get beat.

3. At this point I really dont see them turning things up because Dusty is the "Uncle" to these guys and not thier coach with the right mix of kickem in the pants and pats on the back to get them out of this.

So since then the Cubs have been outscored 68-36. Unless Lee can pitch, its not just his absense.

I think we should play a game tonight.

Every half inning the Cubs fail to score we should all slam a shot. That way when we end up getting shut out by Cruz tonight, we just wont care anymore because we will be blotto.

I think i may have to employ this philosophy until DLee gets back.

Unless there's an injury I'm unaware of, Dusty REALLY REALLY must hate Hairston.

I know it's a small sample size and all, but Hairston seems to be in as much of a funk as anybody on the team right now. Are you sure it's Hairston that Dusty hates, and not his lack of production ??

Bynum's last game and he got to pick his position?

Huh? Are you saying that he's going to be sent down soon??

They can't send him down without him passing through waivers.
