It's amazing how Marshall and Maddux are not only the only pitchers (save Demp) worth a damn on this team, but there the only ones (save Murt) that can work a pitcher.

Ummm, Zambrano?

I forgot a 5+ ERA was any good.

I know its early. This is just painfull to watch!

I forgot that 5 games made a pitcher not worth a damn after 3 years of being one of the top 5 in the league.

I'm so tired of this Cub offense dialing it in. SUPPORT your pitcher, damn it! Actually, this was pretty lackluster play on D as well.

Couple of statements that make you want to :x :

The Cubs are in the bottom 10 of baseball in total offense. Only the likes of the Marlins/Royals/Pirates holding the Cubs from being the worst in baseball. (Don't get me wrong, A's, Angels, and the Phillies are also in the realm). The Cubs are also the SECOND worse offense in the NL Central...just who's worse?

If Greg Maddux wasn't pitching as well as he is....you realize the Cubs could be 8-15 RIGHT now? Maddux is keeping the Cubs from being a totally crappy team.

Gosh....this ORGANIZATION never learns....It's like watching a dog try and catch it's tail.
