Barrett is unavailable and Mabry will be the last bat off the bench since he's the emergency catcher. Letting Guzman bat here is the right move whether he's being taken out or not.

 

Ah, that's it. But not use Restovich? *shrug*

I hate when Dusty does that. Why let the pitcher hit if you're going to take him out before the start of the inning.

I think it's safe to say that Gooz was rattled in his first start against a weak hitting club. His defense saved him twice.

 

Angel is hitting for himself?????

Not with 1 out in the 5th. And if Blanco did reach, Guzman would have tried to lay one down.

 

Save the bats for when it counts.

Good point but he has Restovich and Neifi as well.
