Um, not to be a contrarian, but I don't really think Zambrano has "grown up" any since last year, and I don't think his anger is what makes him a goo pitcher. In fact, he usually pitches his worst when he's frustrated. I think, more than anything, I want the Zambrano that can control where he puts the ball back, whether he's grown up or not.

Gotta love getting no-hit by some nobody

A nobody who was sporting a 6+ ERA coming into tonight. I'm sure other ballclubs get shut down by these types of pitchers. Just seems like we can't hit the newbs.

Lighten up, people. He's having a crappy game and he's showing his emotions. Not a big deal. In fact, I think it's a great sign.

Problem is that 3 of his 4 starts have been bad, with lots of walks. Bad sign.

I know. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but the Cubs have been telling him to tone it down this year. I want the fiery Z back.

How many of you who are upset at Z for what he did got pissed at Corey for supposedly showing no emotion? You don't have to answer, it's okay.

That';s the coolest thing he's done all night.

Not that he's here for hitting but he's looked jsut as bad with the bat as he has with his arm.

He's looked bad with his arm? I'd disagree with that statement.

Walking batters to no end, consistebntly throwing 20 pitches per inning, and not throwing many fround balls qualifies as pretty s**** to me.

He's had 7 K's through 3 innings. His stuff has been filthy, but he hasn't had control. If you think that is "s***" then I don't think you've been watching him. His control has been bad, his stuff has been filthy.

OH MAN, ESPN IS GOING TO SHOW BARTMAN

CALL YOUR FOLKS!

Thank God I have the TV muted and Pat and Ron on the XM. I have learned to do this when ESPN is doing the game

Ok, I am at the library and can't watch the game, plus I am trying to forget the fact that I pretty much gave away my tickets for the game. Anyway, I am short on time, and I can't read through the whole thread right now. Will someone please give me a quick update, and I will check back in a few minutes. Thanks in advance.

There's a difference between showing emotion and doing something stupid that could hurt yourself and the team. Especially with the rotation in the state it is in right now. There are 24 other guys he needs to be accountable to.

Nice quick inning there after Z broke his bat and went back to the darkside. I feel a good inning coming up for the cubs batters. . .
