man! this sucks, we are getting the crap beat out of us by minor leaguers. Why cant Dusty see that Walks=runs? what is so difficult about seeing the value of a walk, he sees it almost every day with the team playing against us.

Dusty isn't the reason why this team is trailing. Zambrano lacking control is. Also, being behind by a

few runs isn't a beating.

whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA

The goal is to get the ball to the player in the air? Huh.

As opposed to bouncing it home? Yeah.

That's the point. Ronny's not trying to 8 hop it to the plate, but you're supposed to keep it low rather than overshoot it. You can always pick a ball that bounces, you can't do anything with a throw that goes over your head.

I don't think Sutcliffe was saying he should've airmailed the ball. He's just saying that you gotta make sure the ball lands in Barrett's glove without rolling there.

I don't like this. At the smallest sign of adversity Z has been losing focus and it takes him 2-3 batters to get it back. Guess he should have kept his mouth shut before the season started when he was talking about winning the Cy Young.

What the hell happened to Zambrano? He's flat out sucked this year.

His sinker's been non-existent, his command has been horrible, and when he has thrown strikes they've been hit for HRs or doubles and scoring the guys who walked. That pretty much sums it up.

That wasnt the point Im just talking in general about the Cubs offense not taking walks. I realize Zambrano's performance is the big reason why we are getting reamed tonight so far.

4-1??

It's 4-0!

3-0 but who's counting?

One of the announcers (not sure who it was) said that Maddux was 4-1. That's why I said 4-0.

he's been pouting a lot this year. Then again he hasn't pitched this bad for this long in quite a while

So the new theory is that Zambrano's calmer demeanor is effecting his pitching ability. Expect this to become a meme. Edited by ToupeeOnFire
