That';s the coolest thing he's done all night.

Not that he's here for hitting but he's looked jsut as bad with the bat as he has with his arm.

He's looked bad with his arm? I'd disagree with that statement.

Woah! Carlos broke the bat!

He's made me really nervous when he's come close to doing that in the past.

Tell me Perez didn't just make an out on one pitch.

Yes

I hate to say this...but Damn sometimes I wish TLR (otherwise known as He who must not be named) were our manager. Frequent 1 pitch outs are not good baseball, I rarely see cards players make them down here...even their crappy players...its sooooo frustrating watching this team play sometimes.

Zambrano pulling a Bo Jackson. Grow up Zambrano.

No, this is good. This means he is getting that trademark fire back. Maybe he can beat up the water cooler in the dugout, then he's sure to turn things around.

What are you talking about?? I was completely losing interest until that happened

There was nothing cool about that. He needs to take his aggression out on the batters and start pitching well instead of risking injury.

Will he ever grow up and maintain his composure??

Growing up hasn't been working out for him too well this season. He's been pretty damn good when he hasn't been told how to act.

I don't like this. At the smallest sign of adversity Z has been losing focus and it takes him 2-3 batters to get it back. Guess he should have kept his mouth shut before the season started when he was talking about winning the Cy Young.

he's been pouting a lot this year. Then again he hasn't pitched this bad for this long in quite a while

Z had a very good start last time out.

He hasn't pitched that bad tonight. It should be 1-0.

Why should it be 1-0?

Becuase in the first inning Caberra pulled a low and away slider out of the park. Only a good hitter who has a little luck dosen't hit a weak grounder there.

So you're not blaming Z for the walk to Uggla--who was on base when Cabrera hit that home run?

No the walk was bad but Uggla was on first. Caberra can't run well. When you try to pull a ball that is low and away it usually ends up as a ground ball. Even if it managed to get by for a single the next guy k'd.

Walks are bad.

Walking batters to no end, consistebntly throwing 20 pitches per inning, and not throwing many fround balls qualifies as pretty s**** to me.

Agreed. He obviously hasn't cozied up to Maddux like Murton and Marshall.

Maybe he will realize he is a better pitcher when he is angry. Maybe he'll get angry and pitch better the rest of the game. I'm all for it. Welcome back Zambrano!!

Lighten up, people. He's having a crappy game and he's showing his emotions. Not a big deal. In fact, I think it's a great sign.

I haven't seen Z in control of his pitches or his emotions tonight. After that run scoring double he started yapping at the umpire. There have been other instances in his previous starts.

Problem is that 3 of his 4 starts have been bad, with lots of walks. Bad sign.

That was decidedly unawesome. He needs to check himself. Seriously. He needs to be the ace of this staff, not some showoff cry baby. You want to play like the big boys and get paid like them? Pitch like one and act like one.
