    I understand. The game thread forum is for people to react to the moment-by-moment game developments. Cubs fans get passionate about what happens during games and that's reflected in the threads. The game threads certainly aren't for everyone ... and over-reactions and hyperbole can run rampant here. We just ask that people keep it civil even while venting. As UMFan notes, the more nuanced discussions and debates are found in the other forums. I'm not sure what integrity has to do with posting here, but maybe I'm just missing something.

    Sure, I have been member here for over a year. I read but do not post very often. Upon looking at a few threads here, it appears that this forum has declined in it's integrity. Care to explain your opinion?

    Bingo !!...Pie has to sit for 30 days(in Iowa) to avoid a year of arbitration...just in case. We should see him here by June at the latest.

    Typical for Carlos, another slow start for the month of April....now that the Cubs will be sold that extension for him is on hold.

    Agreed..............they need to execute better in the second half. Don't talk about what you should have done, do it instead. Like my old football coach said, don't say you will do it, just act.

    That's good because there are families divided down there over that rivalry. Great.............ESPN is reminding me of the 03' NLCS. The Marlin parade came within 6 blocks of my house that year. Maybe you should change your screen name to combat the inevitable. I grew up in Melbourne Beach on the east coast, now live in Gainesville and go to the University of Florida. The NCAA champions in basketball. :D No stress, I grew up an FSU fan until my sister went to UF and then I followed.

    I am curious, where do you reside down there? I have lived in Naples, Ft. Myers, Ft. Lauderdale as well as Pompano Beach. Maybe you should change your screen name to combat the inevitable.

    OK, I can accept your opinion.............it just happens to not be my own. That's a Cubs fan talking. Pujols is a once in a generation type of player. If he doesn't have a catastrophic injury, by the time he is done he will be mentioned among the greatest hitters to ever play. He hasn't even reached his prime yet.

    Bear with me here as I am still trying to navigate this system(I just started posting here yesterday)and learn how to use it. I have never used MLBtv but heard that it has a lag time of 30 seconds or so. Rusch still looks good here. I'm watching MLBtv, which has the Cardinals broadcast on. Wish I had the WGN crew...     I agree that he has played poorly thus far, but when he gets hot he can carry a team offensively. He did it 4/the Twins...............let's hope he can heat it up here during Lee's absence.
