Hey, TT, The Farns was lights out ystdy vs. the Blue Jays in the NYFY 3-1 win. He worked 2/3 of the 8th and was hitting 97 on the scoreboard Juggs.

He didn't look quite as Superman-like in pinstripes though.....

I can't wait for Farnsworth to blow a couple games. First off, it will probably lead SportsCenter because it's the Yankees. Second, the New York media will be all over him. Third, I can't wait for Steinbrenner to rip into him. It's only a matter of time, you know it's going to happen.

why would you want this? if you say it's because farnsworth is "gutless," well, i don't know what i'll do.

I think my sig explains enough. And no I don't think he's "gutless."

We need to have a "Dugout" intervention for you TT....

NEVER!

We may have found Soccer10k's true identity though.

The Farns/Tavarez convo is the best yet.

let's win another series against the Cards. A sweep on the road would be tremendous, but I am thinking realistically and I believe we can get 2 of 3 from the Redbirds.

Go Cubs!

I really dont feel like doing match-ups with D. Lee hurt... and I'm not very encouraged with him being out so until he sure to be back shortly, I'm giving up for 2006. If anyone wants to post match-ups for the next few days, be my guest.

To make matters even worse, Lee is 11-15 with a home run off Mulder.

Wow. As a team, the Cardinals are hitting .141 off Williams. Pujols is hitting just .083 against him, with his 1 hit being a homer.

Now think about it, is that how Derrek would want you to react? What if Aramis or Jerome feels the same way? I'm pretty sure he'd say that no individual is bigger than the team, that we've all got a job to do but no one's job is to sit around and feel sorry for Derrek Lee.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Go Ewing theory!

<---- should have thought of that already

I don't think the Ewing theory works when the guy already has a World Championship ring. :?

The word is White Sox fans are begging for a larger fan base, they will accept you with open arms.

Heh, I've stood through all the past injuries. This is just too much. I will always hate the Sox... My #30 team.

Kind of ironic with that avatar of yours and all...

Relax. I'm not leaving the Cubs. I'm just depressed we have a great chance of saying "Next Year" once again. I know there's a long time... But its sort of like being eliminated from the playoffs and the days of depression fans go through. Thankfully, I'll end up helping on PBP for this game.

I seriously think that enough pieces of this Cubs TEAM have shown up strongly enough that, while being minus our best offensive player and two top starting pitchers, there's really no need to panic. The approach to this season so far has been really good on all fronts, and I have even had a hard time complaining about Dusty so far. It won't be pretty, but I expect to see the Cubs in really good shape when Lee returns.

I actually thought it was pretty fitting. The entire post struck me as a "fair weather" response.
