Rats...Arroyo is pitching. I was hoping this was all part of Dusty's plan...let them get a huge lead, then there's no reason to keep your starter in there any longer, keep the load light on him. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that Cincy's manager is like him, he'd rather let his starter throw 130 pitches with a 9 run lead.

Edit: I meant Arroyo is hitting...

6 HR in one day. I saw 7 hit by the Dodgers against Anthony Young one spring day at Wrigley about 9 or 10 years ago...[/quot

don't worry there is still time

Most HR's given up by the CUBS since 09 Sept 2000 vs. Houston.

I'm pretty sure I watched that one. It wasn't a good day.

Walker-Lee-ARam due up. How about 3 in the 6th, 3 in the 7th, 3 in the 8th, and a walkoff in the 9th?

on the other hand, 2 out of 3 isn't so bad..

1 out of 3 is, and I guarantee we don't win more than that.

on a side note, how does one get a job sitting at Wrigley and updating the play-by-play on Gamecast? sign me up

I've been quietly working towards that job for years.

trying to be optimistic :) but if the wind is blowing out when Mad Dog is pitching, I think we'll probably lose that one too.
