All the proper authorities are mandated to give me constant updates of the game. (If the Cubs do win, I'm not sure if I can be home in time to put up a new game thread), any volunteers if I'm not home prior to 10:30?

Win tomorrow, baby, and we'll save the game thread start for your return. :D

Lookin foward to tommorow. We need to beat the cardinals senseless early and get off to a great start this year and never look back!!

But we then need to beat the brewers and pirates this year.

Wow...

Looks like our 2B can't hit Carp at all.

If Baker really feels the need to put Neifury in the game, this would be the one to do it in, provided he slot in the #8 hole.

I figure Walker will be back in the lineup.

I wonder if Hank White gets a start mañana. Barrett's struggled in 30 ABs, and Hank has a robust .400 BAA (in 5 abs)

My guess is that Hank will start on Sunday and catch Marshall. I can see Dusty wanting Hank's game calling abilities to help the rookie through his first start.

Going to the game today and am pumped. It may be a little cold but we'll be heading into the El Jardin for a warm-up marg and off to some first baseline seats. Listen for me over the tv. I'll be the voice in the background yelling at Macphail and Hendry to sign D-Lee and give him whatever he wants.

OK. So Blanco isn't in the 6 hole. Good.

On the other hand, since this suggests that Dusty isn't dead set on keeping the positions hitting in the same spot (i.e. 2B must hit 2nd, or the ridiculousness of batting Sammy's replacements 3rd in 2003), does it mean that Dusty thinks that Neifi is suited to the 2 hole?

I don't even know what to say about that.

I think what it really says in that Dusty doesn't want to put that kind of pressure on either Murton or Cedeno right now.

What about all the times he did it last year when they weren't around?

I'm really not sure what you're asking here.

I'm really not sure what you're asking here.

I didn't want to start a big thing here...but I'm assuming you were saying that the reason Neifi hit 2nd yesterday was because he didn't want to put that kind of pressure on Ronny or Murton.

Aside from the fact that he could've still hit Barrett 2nd yesterday if that was his intent, what would you say Dusty's reasoning was for hitting Neifi second so much last year, when he wouldn't have been worried about putting pressure on the young guns...

So I have to miss the first part of the game due to an audition - but even when I get back, I still won't be able to watch it, due to living in L.A. SO - to those of you who have MLB.tv, is it worth it? I'm thinking of getting it for the season, but I'd just like to know how well it works for you. Edited by MPrior
