A choice between Jacque and JuanE is like PAYING 15 MILLION DOLLARS FOR 3 YEARS to be kicked in the junk or hit with a hammer in the head. Either way you're going to be uncomfortable with the outcome.

fixed.

At least with Jones you can call him stuff like strap or itch. Juan doesn't inspire any easy heckling names.

Juan EncarnaciOWNED

This was straight up awesome.

I was wondering if that was going to fly under the radar.

Great last AB by Skip there! We should just keep starting him ala Bo Hart until he realizes that he's Skip Schumaker. By then we will have traded EncarnaciOWNED for somebody worth a damn.

I liked Encarnacion's last AB better. Oh wait, I didn't get to see it. THANKS COMCAST!

I too thank Comcast. My tv remains undamaged as a result.

That really was a great AB by Skip, you gotta give him props for it.

I was watching Comcast for da Len, but unfortunately switched to FSMW in time for the Charlie Murphy look a like to take a dump. I had Albert in my beat the streak pick too. I wanted him to get another at bat.

When I played fantasy baseball for the first time, I think 2003, I was researching players for drafting and came upon quotes from some coach with the Marlins who was drooling over Encarnacion's potential for the year. If I remember correctly, the coach was expecting a 30/30 year for Encarnacion.

I think I kept Encarnacion on my team for about 2 months before wising up!

I love what Juan Encarnacion brings to the Cardinals.

indeed - he solidifies their outfield for the next 3 years.

(funny story - a cardinals fan friend of mine actually said those exact words to me once. i laughed.)

I would have cried.

Jock: .111 .190 .278

Encarnacion: .200 .250 .200

And just think, it only cost a combined 30 million dollars.

Juan almost hit a walk-off shot today. Carlos Lee robbed it. He should have hit it harder. Bum.

Wierdly enough, Juan looked angry with himself right after contact, even though it was hit hard enough to make it well over the fence.

I was at the game, down the left field line close to Lee's catch. The ball didn't look like it was going to get to the wall at all. It carried big time. I watched the replay on mlb.tv when I got home and Joe Buck thought it was going to be a flyout at first, and then his volume increased tenfold as it just kept carrying and carrying.

My new nickname for Juan is "Limit the damage" as in please strike out quietly instead of hit into a double play so Pujols can at least hit.

Yea that worked out to perfection yesterday didnt it?

I'm more worried about Edmonds than Juan..

Cards hoping that moving Juan down to the 5 hole would help him out....well that didnt work. Bases loaded infield fly in the first. Juan Rules!

I am beyond done with this guy. He blows so hard!

An EASY fly to right and it would have been a double play and he just drops it. I think Juan will unseat Dunn for defensive ineptitude.

I am sick, sick, sick.

Edit: And now the puke face is up. Barely beats out an infield hit.

Funny, Vance. This is the most frustrating game. The hit and run on, Luna can't make contact, and Encarnacion is out at 2nd. Then Luna gets a single and instead of no outs, runner on 1st and 3rd, there's one out and a guy on 2nd.
