Does anyone know how long Bud Light has the naming rights?

All news stories say the terms were not disclosed. Something mentioned that it was for less than $1million per season. My guess is that it's on a per year basis, but that's just a guess.

less than $1 million? The Budwesier house contract is for $300k or so (that's the rumor around the neighborhood) and it's not even official.

Well, that seems about right since it's not shown on TV. It's only going to be seen by people at those bars or from the el platform. Not even really by people entering the bleachers. I guess we'll just have to wait until Friday to see if there is going to be anything noticeable from inside the stadium.

I just hope it's not as big as you had it, though. I don't see why the Cubs would need to agree to make it that big.

It looks ok.Its not overbearing or tacky.I don't see a big deal with advertising in Wrigley if they choose. The old parks all had advertising inside. The sign behind home is irratating but maybe on the upper deck or behind the bleachers.

It's slightly smaller than I had it. Just walked past it again. But probably 80% of the size that I had it. I'll take a pciture tomorrow.

This is just like everything else at Wrigley. There's outrage at first then there is acceptence. Remember night games used to be considered the end of what is good. Now they are some of the most popular games.

If that is what it look like I can deal with it.

I dont mind at all. The name doesnt make the bleachers... It'll still be full of bums who won't shut up... and I love them.

Pictures are up on Cubs.com.

-That bleacher entrance is going to take some getting used to. It's really different. But, there doesn't appear to be any Bud Light advertising in the ballpark.

-We'll have to wait to see how the extra bleacher seats look on TV with people in them, but they're supposed to paint the gray concrete and the benches green once the weather gets warm. That'll look better than it does now. The railings and everything look pretty nice, though. AND there are more stairs to get up and down instead of just the ramp.

-I wonder if the new camera well is going to change the camera angle at all.

-The batter's eye should look okay, but I doubt I'll like it as much as the bushes. Probably better than the tarp, though.

I like the look of the entrance, but I definitely don't like the big Bud Light sign. I don't know how I feel about the batter's eye suite. It sticks out like a sore thumb. I like the view from the inside of it though. All in all the bleachers look pretty good.

Are you still going to be allowed to smoke against the back fence?

I'm pretty sure nobody's going to be allowed to stand in the bleachers and still see the field. They got rid of the standing area in the back to put in those stairs.

The wheelchair seating looks to be in a pretty sweet location. And they covered it.

I like it. Once the bleachers are painted, I think it will look even better. I also think the suite in CF will actually improve the hitter's background. The outside (except for the signage) looks 110% better, IMO.

Well, on second look, it does look like there's room behind the bleachers to stand. They originally said there wasn't going to be room.

Hopefully not.

Why do you say that? If you're sitting down watching the game, it's not like you'll smell it.

I also like the way it looks now. I think it's pretty sweet.

I think I heard that it won't be allowed.

I haven't heard it publicized one way or the other, but the way I read the new anti smoking legislation that went into effect earlier this year, I would expect that smoking anywhere in the ballpark will be strictly verboten.

Channel 9 news at 9pm tonight will be showing pictures of the new bleachers.

Really? You're also not allowed to leave the park and re-enter, soooooooo... I guess if you smoke, you're going to have to not smoke for the whole game? That's not gonna be fun!

They're going to paint the floor? Surely that's a Muskat foul-up — it's going to look ridiculous, and last about as long as a $100 suit.

The old bleachers had that freshly poured look to them in the beginning, too. They should just let the new set aquire the darker, worn look via the ravages of time.

When I sat in the bleachers last season, I had to pass by the smokers every time I went to the concession stand or to the restroom. I hated it.

I'm not anti smoking. I'm just anti smoking around me :)

Not bad, other than the Bud Light sign.

And I didn't do too bad of a photoshop from memory, if I do say so myself

The spacing could've used some work.

Here's a pic from inside the batter's eye:

And apparently the ivy on the outside walls will take 3-5 years to fully grow.
