Coffey in to pitch for Cincinnati

Lee flied out to left field

Ramirez flied out to right field

This has all the makings of a heartbreaker. Great comeback only to fall short. I guess I missed baseball.

Damnit, we were winning when I left for class and now we're losing. Moral of the story? Don't go to class when the Cubs are playing.

two one pitch outs....I love that.

 

Down 1 run in the 8th, I have enough confidence in Lee and Ramirez to pick out a good enough pitch to try and take deep. Nothing wrong with those at bats.

I love it when the guys start swinging for the fences. :x

So do I... when we're down a run and our power hitters are up with the bases empty.
