Maybe Baker doesn't have confidence in the guy.

That's my point. You can't use lack of confidence in one pitcher as an excuse to misuse another. If the guy is on the team, and you've clearly given him the role, use him. Don't carry a long man if you are afraid to use him with a 6 run lead in a game when your pen was hit early.

The Cubs have an off day tomorrow and a pretty relaxed week, I don't see why you have a problem with Dusty taking advantage of the schedule and using the best pitchers available. Seems a little nit picky of an otherwise well managed game.

Pagan is 2-3. I like it. I still maintain that the young guys like Murton and Cedeno are the keys to the team.

Nice bunt by Slappy.

I wouldnt be surprised to see this guy take over for Jock Strap by end of season if he keeps it up.

Winning is much better than losing.

And listening to the Reds broadcasters is much better when they are getting blown out.

Another nice judgement by Dunn on the flyball. Way to be smart and play it off the wall. ESPN should run a "Not Top 10" segment featuring solely Adam Dunn's fielding.

That would mean he obviously played well enough to earn it based on Dusty's past use of young players so if Pagan does pass Jones by the end of the year I would be ecstatic.

Dusty was quoted as saying he is really excited by the youth of his squad. However, I agree with you.
