Read this and be disgusted...

I can't believe they want to get rid of the sidwalk vendors outside the stadium. To me, that's half of the fun. I love shopping at all the sidewalk stands before a game, then going in, gorging myself on hot dogs and cheering the Cubs on. Wrigleyville is part of the Wrigley Field experience.

I think I'd go less if this happened. I really would. I'd just wait for them to come to Milwaukee.

I love the sidewalk vendors. Without them where will I go to get my somewhat reasonably priced jersey T-shirts??? :(

This would be a shame. For some reason, some of those vendors remind me of the days when they'd pan the camera shots to the rooftops, and instead of seeing bleachers, you'd see guys slamming a beer while firing up a grill.

Wrigley is one of few stadiums in all of baseball that has as much to do outside the stadium as inside. It would take away a great deal of the experience for me.

I only get to Wrigley about once a year (maybe not at all this year. :(), and the sidewalk vendors are one of the things I most look forward to.

i had a tradition going on that every time i saw a game at wrigley field, i'd buy a new era hat from one of the street vendors. i must have 10-15 hats from those guys alone. it would be a shame if they were to get rid of them. like others said, it does bring flavor to wrigleyville.

I wonder if they'll also try and remove the drummer from outside the bleacher entrance.

i hope not. he's got good range...i asked him to play "amen brother" by the winstons and he did!

city council should have better things to do.

I am sure the alderman that brought it up was either pressured by the Cubs, the Trib, local businesses in Wrigleyville, the residents, or a combination of all to bring it up to the council.

Who cares? Place is a dump anyways.

BLASPHEMY!

C'mon the whole thing fell apart, they don't have food under $65, bats fly around cuz it's so dark, and the bathrooms smell all dirty and stuff. Head north about 90 miles. That's where it's at.

What are we going to do without this character?

Seriously, listen to SouthSideRyan - we don't have to pack heat when walking around our beloved ballpark, but we could stand to have some more projects, crackwhores, and syringes around our park for the kiddos to step on.

We do have a dump. It is a wonder why we draw so many fans.

I wonder how many people check the Rivalries forums.... :?

Wouldn't hurt if a couple did...

If this was there, my bad.

It's not. But you should go read the topic about the Brewers near the top in rivalries to understand.

After looking at what they actually banned, it's not so bad. They just can be on the sidewalks of Wrigley itself. It sounds like they can still be across the street and everything else. With all of the traffic immediately outside the park, it's probably a good idea.

I suppose if that's the case I could live with that. If they're eliminated totally I'm going to be extremely pissed.
