I heard a rumor from my barber and he said that they make break the NL into 2 divisions and IMO if they do that the only team I'm worried about is the Pirates. No way will the Mets compete with that hitting.

Any guaranteed contract to him and it's a horrible move. He isn't close to being as good as Hairston, that factors in Hairston's poor defense in the OF.

 

I'd rather see NRIs used more wisely though.

Trading Prior or Z. I've said all along that pitching wins, and I don't have a pessimistic attitude cause I think Prior will bounce back, which will be huge. If one of those guys is dealt, I'll lose a lot of interest in the team.

 

Considering what Grissom did last year, I can't see him signing for much. It's just a move to see if they can catch some lightning in a bottle.

I highly doubt he's getting a guaranteed contract. He sure had a down year last year (was he hurt?), but if he reverts to his 2004 numbers, he'd be useful on the bench, probably our best power off the bench. Note I said bench.

 

No way he plays over Murton.

 

You haven't forgotten who manages this team, have you? And his affection for aging veterans?

 

If Grissom is signed I guarantee he'll at least be in a LF platoon.
