I can understand wanting Grossman over Orton....but I don't understand the Orton hate.

It's not all of his fault, they need a #2 WR, a TE, and some decent playcalling, but he hasn't been good enough to be a starting QB especially on a team likely to win 10-11 games.

I want to see Grossman, to see if it would be worth moving up in the draft to address QB.

I think they can work with Moose, Bradley, and Berrian. I'd like a legit #2 WR, but I think with the latter 2, Currie and Berlin, you have a chance to have a decent WR corps.

TE is a necessity. Just start with 3 new ones in 06. Sign one, draft one early, draft one late.

I'm not sure on Bradley now, speed WR coming off a serious knee injury around week 5.

Rivera needs to bust their "___" in practice, put the team outside and work this team for a week.

 That's the Bus' longest run since 2002

(Sorry, I'm a little delayed here.)

So does anyone think we can score 18 points in 1 quarter without at least 2 turnovers?

This is like one of those video games where nothing goes right for you, the CPU catches every break and you get beat down to wreck a perfect season.

God, I predicted Steelers 27-7 before the game, but its still not any easier to watch...Guess those Carolina and TB games were flukes.

Overall I don't know if this team is even close to a playoff caliber team.

Wow, one bad game and you don't think they're playoff caliber and that Carolina and TB were both fluke wins? Sorry, the Bears aren't the Colts.

lol, I'm just frustrated. But the Bears game plan of running the ball, getting a lead and controlling the ball is rather fragile. All it takes is a opponent TD and the plan is shattered as we've seen today.

9-4 after today...fragile?

Yeah fragile. It hasnt happened much, but I'm saying in a playoff game against a team like Seattle, then get a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and we might as well pack our bags for Chicago

But you're faulting the plan...the problem is the talent. The defense is there (today not withstanding), but the offensive talent just isn't there.

Thats what I'm saying, the plan is a result of the talent on offense. I'm certainly not suggesting that the Bears open up and start gunning the ball all over the field. But my point was the game plan, as a result of the talent, makes the Bears a fragile football team come playoff time.

Orton with a 51.4 QB rating.

Ive seen enough of Orton to know that we will not go anywhere with him this year. It's not all his fault though. We have terrible WRs, and terrible TEs. Bears passing game is abysmal.

End of the 3rd? Why can't this game be over already?

It is over, Jon.

Tell me that when we lose another player to injury, though.

If we come back and make this a one possesion game, I'll send everyone who posted in this thread a dollar.

I doubt it has anything to do with their effort, but I'm getting sick of seeing those fluff stories on the news showing the Bears dancing and singing and stuff during practice. Time to buckle down and get serious.

It takes three quarters for them to change cleats?

Wow. A throw downfield.

Vikings have taken control of their game.
