  1. Imagine the haul they could get for Chavez from the Dodgers if they went that route.
  2. Thanks Truffle! WV is playing Auburn and Colorado which should help them regarding the voters if they win. OU plays Cincy in the first game, that ought to be interesting.
  3. IMO..WV would beat LSU or Georgia but would lose to USC due to the matchups but if they did have a plus 1 it would be USC or Georgia going. I really dislike the politics that goes with College football.
  4. I get a kick out of Rog saying he doesn't know that much about steroids and he would be growing horns if he did them. Come on, he's not that stupid.
  5. So Ohio State gets rewarded for playing no one out of conference, please...someone in the Big 10 stop them from going to this game again.
  6. That phone call has me starting to wonder if Roger might be telling the truth. Not me, sounds like a hastily put together and poorly orchestrated plan to play a little scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Rogers is looking to find his own Greg Anderson fall guy. That's what I got out of it too. "What do you want me to do?" Tell the truth...isn't that what he said he had to do since he didn't want to go to jail?
  7. Link. Yes, this is disappointing. Muschamp would have been the highest paid coordinator in the SEC next season if he had stayed at Auburn. Texas does receive more exposure, so I assume he believes this will make getting a big time head coaching job easier. Chizik and Greg Robinson both went on from Texas in one year to head coaching jobs too. That might have played a factor. And I still don't like you for that!
  8. I think one of the kids will step up well...actually more of a combo of Marshall, Hart and maybe somebody else to help the team.
  9. Coach K is doing the best he can with the great lack of talent he has. He is really rallying the troops. Something along those lines. Heck, we've lost 2 starters and I'm pretty proud of how the kids are playing. Honestly, poor Boeheim never gets enough credit imo.
  10. meh, it already was. No kidding. On the opposite end of this, how has Bean done to build his farm up with these deals? He's not at Florida's level but he has to have made it pretty strong.
  11. We have an SOS of 5 and Dukes is 132, I wonder what Dickey V is going to say now?
  12. He's the Norm Abrams of baseball.
  13. So if the A's played the Marlins would any of the players would be old enough to go to a bar afterwards? Maybe they'd go to Disney World.
  14. And this is probably why Jose is writing another book, maybe not so much Sosa but to add to the guys Mitchell missed.
  15. If you guys still have Morris I'm sure the Cubs would take him off your hands as well! :pig:
  16. I just figured that any transaction posted might get the ball rolling and yes, it was sarcasm regarding signing the guy.
  17. And to top that bit of info off they went on to sign inf Dallas Christison! The Can-Am League is making some noise! Should the Cubs go after Kuklick? Losing a chance to pick up Dallas hurts but let's hope the Cubs pick up Kuklick to back up Soto.
  18. USC is playing really well right now but what I love about college football is that the whole season counts. It would be a really fun tournament to watch if they had one though.
  19. Yeah, I am preparing myself for an really ugly B10 season. It will be different, but in a couple years the Illini should be back near or on top. Well stage 2 is now upon us regarding playing conference games. It's a new chance at life for a lot of teams and starting with a clean slate may help your boys.
  20. Hell, look at the ticky tack nature of his violations at Colorado: http://bruinroar.blogspot.com/2007/12/on-neuheiel-and-ncaa-violations.html He got a violation for playing a game of H-O-R-S-E with a recruit and for going $3 over on a recruiting trip ($3 spent on Nintendo gaming). There may have been other things but weren't reported and these were the things he got nailed for. He's a charmer and a very good offensive coach and hopefully for your sake he will stay clean. I think if he does and gets a very good defensive coach, you're going to be a happy fan. The big key is that defensive coach.
  21. It was wonderful to watch and it made me miss playing on the lake when I was a kid.
  22. Not a good come from behind team and if they don't get turnovers against a good team, they struggle.
  23. youre right. theyre only a top 20 team (even if they lose) and theyre going to open up next season as the number 1 team in the country No chance. Florida will be a top 5 team at the very least to start the 2008 season. I wouldn't be surprised if they're ranked number 1. Top 5, sure. #1? No chance. A 4 loss team that finshes 15 or lower will NOT begin 2008 ranked #1. I'd guess they start at #3. Who do you have ahead of them then? WV has everyone coming back unless Slaton goes pro but they have that covered with Divine. Oh, and their coach is gone so that might throw a wrench into it.
  24. The state of Florida went 0-4 in the bowls which is pretty surprising.
