Bruce, You are just hired to be the GM on May 1st 2004 for the Chicago Cubs. What would be the first 3 things you would do to improve the team.

Thanks for the time Bruce. How much of a factor is it to Dusty when a player stays or shows up early and works instead of going home the second practice or the game is through. Along those lines, how much goes on that we as fans have no clue about behind the scenes regarding playing time and Dusty's decisions to stay with certain players.

We never wanted Jenkins, he's just as injury-prone as Alou. Beltran and Ordonez remain our top two targets to replace Moises. I agree with you about the top 2 guys Don but I would like the market to have more options thus lowering the prices of these guys. I would have Jenkins in my top 10 if he did go the free agent route.

Not in either of the sessions I attended that featured them. But I missed the manager/coaches session, and my friend who took notes for me had to leave before it was over. Anyone? I was there for that entire session and I heard nothing said about CPat playing left. Then again, I was so stunned by wavin Wendall saying he aims to be correct 98% of the time that I would have missed Babe Ruth walking into the room. :lol: :lol: I always aim to be 100% right myself. I wonder what the average of guys being thrown out at the plate was for all of baseball and then for the Cubs?

SCF, I haven't had the problem since this morning when I first opened the site. I haven't been on the computer since Thursday or Friday so I knew I had a bunch of unread posts.

He probably did do that! He's just jealous that we won the National Championship and couldn't handle it! :lol: I will ML and this site is wonderful. Come to think of it though, I have had some strange glitches in which the unread sites became read somehow. The icons where colored then they weren't for some strange reason even though I didn't read them.
