Yeah, Belichick was already a good ways up the tunnel before the final snap was made. That's what people were upset about it. And yup, it's just another thing to add on the long list of Belichick's classless behavior. It just makes it even harder for people who aren't fans of the Patriots to root for them in any game. Exactly, it doesn't change my opinion at all of the man - I've considered him classless for quite some time now. What it should do (but I doubt it will), is once and for all end this ridiculous crap about the Patriots being a "classy and professional" organization. The media obsesses over how "unselfish, professional and utterly classy" the Pats are and this just further proves how much of a crock that is. I've always thought of Belichek as classless too, but to me that just looked like a bunch of people thought the game was over when it wasn't. It's not like Belichek was the only one to come out. There was obviously a mistake. I think it's a bit of an overreaction to just heap all the blame for it on him. Someone let the clock go down to 0:00 when it shouldn't have. I've got no problem with Belichick running out on the field to shake hands. Coughlin and the Giants did too. Problem is, the head referee Mike Carey went to the coaches and told them the game wasn't over and to get back to the sideline. Coughlin did and Belichick didn't. There was confusion at first, but once it was sorted out Belichick should have stayed on the field for one more play. The fact that he didn't shows how little respect he has for other teams. Maybe Bill knew there is a rule that says "If you don't play the whole game and leave before the clock hits zero, you can protest the game and you go back to the 2 minute warning".
