  1. If Cedeno isn't in today's starting lineup, sans Ramirez, I might just actually cry.
  2. And every pitcher is different. Hill will work his way out of it...Probably in AAA where he's always done well. I don't understand why people are so against this idea? At this point, it probably has to be done. We're just angry that it was ever allowed to get to this point. The Cubs have stupided their way into a decision that has to be made, as usual.
  3. Yes. And I think their belief in that knowledge causes them to win fewer games than if they just knew what we know.
  4. All pitchers hit rough patches with their mechanics. You know how they work out of it? They pitch. It may never have gotten this bad if he hadn't been jerked around from day one of the season, pulled for no reason in some starts and outright skipped in others.
  5. Third best ERA in the rotation despite ridiculously quick hook in some of his effective starts. Too many BBs in too short a sample to project from. No reason at all to remove him from the rotation. This team is throwing away a No. 2 starter because they are stupid, reactionary and believe in ST results. I hope they lose the division just because I'm sick of seeing them do stupid things all the time and paper over their mistakes with large piles of cash and hoping the rest of the division doesn't win more than 84 games.
  6. And he's always succeeded despite them.
  7. CHAD FOX OVER MARMOL!?!?!?!?!?!??! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
  8. I keep imagining the most gruesome ways to lose this game. Take the lead, then a Marmol implosion? Seems right.
  9. That's what happens when your OPS is heavy on OBP and light on SLG. That's why guys like him should bat 1 or 2.
  10. I'm not sure which would make me sicker. The Ankiel walkoff or the Pujols walkoff? Glaus wouldn't bother me.
  11. Their LFer caught the ball! Is that even allowed? Doesn't seem fair.
  12. As nice as it is, if we don't score here we are still heavy favorites to lose this game.
  13. Fukudome's ground balls have stopped magically finding holes. He's due.
  14. Gotta see a replay on that, Lee looked out... Oops, looked away for the replay to type that.
  15. HBP on the hand. Left the game from that. Nobody sure what's up, but it didn't look good. CRAP! We just lost ARam with a broken hand???!? Even if we did, Cedeno somehow still won't start.
  16. No one sane or with an interest in the Cubs winning ballgames can explain that, no.
  17. I'm not even happy with Soriano. He just got himself back to even, like making a deposit to cover an overdraft in your bank account. GRITIOT stepped on Pujols' foot. Good for him.
  18. Soriano needs to just close his eyes and swing hard, hoping the ball hits it by accident. Sutcliffe style.
  19. Soriano just showed bunt. He's honestly trying to make my head explode. This has got to be scripted or something.
  20. When the DP is taken out of order, defensive indifference is a stupid scoring rule.
  21. Reed Johnson swings his arm into a pitch, very lucky to be given first.
