I thought LSU would jump the Badgers. Didn't think beating Pitt while WV losing to South Florida would let Louisville leap them though. Wisconsin drops 4 slots in the computers while idle. that's alot. c'mon STSU and Buffalo. help a brother out here man. What's Wisconsin's out of conference schedule next year? Washington State, UNLV, The Citadel and one TBA. Link it will more than likely be a MAC team. the usual MO is a Pac 10/Big 12 team/Big East team, a Mountain West or WAC team (not one or the other, I forget which conference UNLV and SDSU are in), a MAC team, and a total patsy. I think they stacked weak non conference schedule knowing Barry would be gone and wanting to give Beliema a good start. turned out to bite him in the ass. play an Oregon or Colorado like they used to and they are fourth or fifth in the BCS right now. I think every BCS team should play at least 2 BCS teams out of conference. I've always wanted to see something like they do in college basketball - an ACC/Big 10 challenge sort of thing.

New BCS standings 1. OSU 2. USC 3. Michigan 4. Florida 5. LSU 6. Louisville 7. Wisconsin 8. Boise State 9. Arkansas 10. Notre Dame Nothing too surprising here. USC is easily ahead of Michigan for second place.

He played pretty damn good yesterday. His stats were ruined by about 7 drops of perfectly thrown balls, and he was jumping around avoiding sacks all game and still did nothing to lose the game. Not his fault the defense blows and his receivers crapped out in the biggest game of the year. No. I'm talking about Brooks... I don't give a damn about Quinn. Brooks = horrible. I don't know why anybody would think he's a good QB.

I didn't watch the ND-USC game extremely close but I saw multiple drops by the receivers on balls Quinn put right on the money. The 4th and 4 drop by McKnight stands out in my mind.

Yeah, I would have to agree. Let the Griese talk begin. If Rex sucks again against the Vikings, Lovie's going to have to make a decision. It's been weeks now since Rex had a real good game. He played well against the Giants two weeks ago.

He shouldn't be benched but its definitely possible. You know there will be a ton of columnists writing that the Bears should play Griese.

He's a college kid for christ sakes. These things happen. It's called school spirit. Heard of it? yep. sure have, and most quarterbacks that are ready to be number one draft choices don't wear it on their shirtsleeve. rather they exude a quiet confidence and focus. I didn't see that out of Quinn in the last week. look, I already backed off of my statements because of someone's assessment that those things I saw were out of character. you guys want to knock me around for my original statement when I leave the board, be my guest, but you look pretty petty doing so. Fair enough. I just reread everything and realized you did back off. I was hammered last night when I made the post and didn't read everything. My bad.

So I take it you didn't think much of Matt Leinart coming out of USC either, right? Leinart actually won a Heisman and won most of the big games he played in. Quinn can pad his stats against Army and Stanford, but he hasn't won a big game in his career I don't think. I agree Brady Quinn hasn't done too well in his big games the past two years, but jjgman21 was comparing Quinn to Ryan Leaf and saying Quinn would fail in the NFL because of these instances. That seems a bit unreasonable since so many college athletes (including Leinart) are guilty of the same thing. I couldn't agree more.

No way. Brady has a fantastic head on his shoulders and he's going to look GREAT in silver and black. Fixed.

Laid eggs? They were outclassed. Their only other games were against second tier programs, so of course they looked better. Come on, man. Laid eggs? Yes, laid eggs. Quinn has thrown 5 INTs all year and 3 of them came against UM. That's a laid egg. Hell he didn't even have any against USC whose D is pretty damn good too. Rhema hasn't dropped passes all year until this game. Freeman looked like crap. USC outplayed ND but that doesn't mean ND played their best game. I give all sorts of credit to UM and USC for playing the way they did in those games, but they weren't responsible for Rhema's not holding onto the football today or for ND's offensive line crapping out in the UM game. The only consolation is that we likely didn't get beat bad enough to fall out of the BCS. Wait, the reason Quinn threw those interceptions was purely because of him laying an egg and not because of the UM defense ?(and the supposed best defensive line in the nation?) Yes, you can look really good against service acadamies, maybe only throw one or two picks. Congrats. USC and Michigan? More talented than ND. Maybe Weis can recruit very well, we'll soon see. Yeah, that great UM defense that gave up 503 yards to OSU. What an awesome defense.

There's no way a 3-loss Arkansas team makes the BCS. LSU I could see but not Arkansas. They lost their chance by blowing the game to LSU. Othewise, you make some good picks, though Rutgers could very well beat WV Saturday to win the Big East. I agree, If Florida loses to Arkansas, they'll have a good shot to make a BCS bowl. If Florida wins, Arkansas will have 3 losses and will have lost to 2 loss LSU and I don't see Arkansas getting a BCS bowl under this scenario.

Yes they will. If Rutgers wins the Big East, ND could be left out of the BCS. That makes me smile just thinking about it.

I see the Rose Bowl picking an SEC team for TV purposes. Florida (if they lose) or LSU. SEC vs Big Ten works well for TV purposes when it comes to the bowls. The sugar will take Louisville. That leaves the Orange Bowl. If Georgia Tech wins would they jump at a ND-GT rematch or go in another direction? That's the problem for ND is that two of the bowls could present possible rematches with ND. Obviously if Wake Forest wins then this problem is averted. I may be missing something but where does the Big East winner fit in? Either Rutgers or Louisville will have an automatic bid that I didn't see listed. If I'm not mistaken, I think the BE winner will go to the Sugar Bowl (someone correct me if I'm wrong). That would mean: Nat Title: OSU v USC Rose Bowl: Michigan v Fiesta Bowl: Boise St. v Oklahoma/Nebraska Orange Bowl: Wake Forest/Georgia Tech v Sugar Bowl: Florida/Arkansas v Rutgers/Louisville leaving loser of BE and loser of SEC championship plus LSU and Notre Dame to fill two spots. Arkansas and Rutgers are out if they lose, which would solve the problem. If they don't both lose, ND could miss a BCS berth. The Big East doesn't have a BCS bowl tie in so they are treated like an at-large team that gets "selected" by a bowl. Um, since when? I thought the Big East champ got an automatic bid to a BCS game. You misinterpreted what I said. They don't have a direct BCS bowl tie in a la Big 10 and Pac 10 to the Rose, etc. The conference champ does get an automatic bid but during the selection process they get treated as an at large meaning a bowl will select them. The difference is the Big East champ must be selected.
