  1. I'm not sure what I'm more surprised about, Georgia playing this well or Auburn playing this poorly.
  2. Who cares what Iowa was ranked when OSU played them? Fact is, right now Iowa is sitting at 6-4, 2-4, and isn't even receiving votes in the polls. They're not a good team. Last week they lost to Northwestern at home. You can't use the spot they once were in the poll to make your argument. Would you do the same thing if Iowa was unranked when OSU played them but was now ranked in the Top 15? Of course not. You would say that OSU beat an Iowa team that is better than people thought and is now ranked in the Top 15. I'll give you the Texas and Michigan games and I would pick OSU to beat either Louisville or WVU but the thought (not necessarily yours) that the Big East is an inferior conference to the other five major conferences is just wrong. Is the Big East the best conference in the nation? Probably not. Are they the worst major conference in the nation? Absolutely not. It's inferior to at least a couple of them. I haven't said they're the worst, so if you're arguing that they're not, you're apparently arguing with nobody. There are a couple people on this board - like I said, you aren't one of them - who have openly stated that the Big East is by far the worst of the six major conferences.

  4. 2:30 on the west coast and still no word? ARGH. Well, I gugess I"m gonna drink another bveer or four.
  5. Same here although I'm waiting for the late hockey and basketball games to be done so I can put the updated standings into the paper.
  6. What makes the OSU/Michigan loser any better than Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, USC, Louisville, West Virginia, ND/Texas, or Cal? You could make an argument for OSU/Michigan loser as the second best team in the country but I have a hard time believing the choice as obvious.
  7. When Aram is a Dodger next week my point will be more clear. You don't have a point. No. You just don't agree with my point. Firing a 2nd dart at the Wade Miller board before securing Aram irks me. It's called multitasking.
  8. I think Ohio State will win only because I have a hard time seeing Michigan scoring a decent amount of points. It will be very much a defensive game though it looks like, and when it becomes that type of game where 1 play could change the game anybody could win. Ohio State will win because its in Columbus ...but I hope not I agree on Ohio State winning because they're at home. I think OSU has a better team though and might pick them to win in Ann Arbor. Should be an entertaining game though.
  9. Agreed. I think so too mainly because the game is in Morgantown. I don't see Rutgers pulling it out on the road. We'll see though. Should be a good game.
  10. could be, which would be a shame. If that happened, I would hope for a total clusterhump in the SEC plus Cal beating USC, USC beating ND, and Texas losing the Big XII game. Then you'l have a bunch of TWO loss teams to sort through (or open the door for Boise St., though they'll never get love from the pollsters) No, then you'd have an Ohio State-Michigan rematch. If Rutgers goes unbeaten, they'd better as hell play in the title game. I agree. If people were going to put WVU and Louisville in the title game, Rutgers should get the same consideration.
  11. Can you say "BCS controversy" because I guarantee we will have one this year. If Rutgers goes undefeated then the question is will the pollsters rank them high enough. If Rutgers loses one of their final three games then we'll have one undefeated team (OSU/UM) and a potentially a few one loss teams.
  12. OH MY LORD.
  13. He's gonna nail this one though. Right down the middle.
  14. He missed it but it's offsides.
  15. I'm a Louisville backer and I hope this guy misses but man this crowd is going to go NUTS if he makes it. Hopefully the stadium officials will allow them to rush the field. This would be the biggest win in the history of Rutgers football.
  16. #3 Fair or not, I doubt the pollsters put them anywhere near that high. I see them lower in the top 10, somewhere around 7 or 8 probably. What that says about the voters? Well, everyone can decide that for themselves. Let's go Rutgers! Finish this one out! I don't think the pollsters will put them at #3. Rutgers will be comfortably in the top 10, and I would guess around 7 or 8. I would put them at #3 though.
  17. I honestly can't believe what I'm watching right now especially after Louisville roasted them to go up 25-7.
  18. For once, Louisville's defense is going to have to win this game for them.
  19. The guy who runs this website is a Yankee fan who lives in Japan. I've been monitoring that site and have to say, I'm disappointed to point out that Matsuzaka is not going to be a FA in the winter of 2007. He will still be under the Lion's control. So, they could retract him from the market and post him again next year (not "allow him to walk in the winter of 2007 for nothing") if they feel that they do not have a satisfactory offer. Which, if the reports that the highest bid is in the 15M range are true (which I do not believe), they could send a message to MLB that if they really want Matsuzaka they can bid next year for 30M. Its a risky move especially because if Matsuzaka gets hurt they will be SOL. Also, the team is in poor financial shape, but I have to believe if its worth 15M more, they might just hold out a year. Couldn't that also backfire on them though. If they retract him this year, he pitches in Japan in 2007, and then they try to post him next year, the teams might just say "screw it, we'll wait until he's a free agent after 2008" or make even lower offers. Not saying this would happen, but it's something to consider.
  20. The Rutgers D has definitely impressed tonight.
  21. Either Matsuzaka or Zito. No on Schmidt.
  22. Louisville has now scored more points than any Rutgers opponent this year.
