  1. Yeah, even if you put the Big East teams at #23-#25 it should still be Rutgers, Louisville, and WVU in that order.
  2. Remember that one year Manny hit 40 homeruns? Because, of course, anyone who uses steroids becomes a superstar slugger. The Alexander types are the only ones that MLB ever catches. Rafael Palmeiro
  3. Please no on Beltre. For the sake of all that is good in the universe say no to Adrian Beltre.
  4. anyone care to guess what i'm going to do? you're going to inject **** heroin into your **** forehead i'm right behind you. well, my forehead is How's the smell? I hope Treeman showered recently.
  5. He'll sign with another team before next weekend rolls around. Unfortunately, I'm not drunk right now so I think I'm just going to cry. Alone.
  6. 1. OSU 2. Michigan 3. Rutgers 4. USC 5. Arkansas 6. Florida 7. Notre Dame 8. Louisville 9. WVU 10. Texas
  7. only if Arkansas loses. not necessarily. Arkansas will be 7th, maybe 6th at the end of this week. a loss to OSU doesn't necessarily dip UM below 5 (actually they wouldn't dip below 4 because USC would need to lose next week too in order for his scenerio to play out). you have to remember it is Michigan we are talking about. different rules apply for certain teams. so Arkansas doesn't move ahead of them. If Arkansas wins out - which would include a SEC championship game victory - I think they would pass Michigan.
  8. Boise St is tied with San Jose St at 20 with just over 5 minutes left.
  9. hehe. I ranted at you because I was p'd the Hogs leapfrogged my Badgers. now I come back to see you defending them, so I feel bad. still, should have losts should be considered when these guys vote. When did Arkansas leapfrog Wisconsin? Wisconsin wasn't ranked until Week 7 which was when Arkansas leaped into the rankings with the victory at Auburn. ETA: Also how do you define a should-have-lost game? How many points down do you have to come back from with how much time left? Week 7 saw the Hogs go from unranked to 17th. Wisconsin broke the top 25 that same week. Yes, that's what I said. I still don't see how somebody could be mad about that when one team beat the team that was #2 in the nation at that time.
  10. If the Arkansas-Tennessee game continues like it's currently going, I would put them ahead of Notre Dame.

  12. http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/usc/sports/auto_action/usc-logo.jpg that, they did. . . . however, it wasn't the same Hog team. McFadden was 50% and we had a crappy QB. I'd love to see a USC / Arkansas rematch. It's still hard to argue with a 50-14 beatdown at home. Plus, McFadden and the QB don't play defense.
  13. Because if they win out, they're in the national title discussion. That's where it all stemmed. Nobody's talking about them going to #6 after the polls tomorrow, although with USC/Oregon still pending and three top 10 teams losing already, #7 is a possibility. Actually, I did bring up the possibility of Arkansas jumping ND for #6 with a big victory today.
  14. Unless USC runs the table.
  15. Arkansas only has one loss on the year and, you could use the reverse argument for them that you used for ND. They are only ranked #11 right now because they started the year unranked and got hammered by USC in their first game. They have a solid team though and I think we'll have a better idea after tonight's game with Tennessee is over.
  16. http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/usc/sports/auto_action/usc-logo.jpg
  17. Drop how much though? AP Top 15: 1. O$U 2. scUM 3. Louisville 4. Texas 5. Auburn 6. Florida 7. USC 8. Cal 9. ND 10. WVU 11. Arkansas 12. LSU 13. Tennessee 14. Boise St 15. Rutgers so Louisville, Auburn, Cal all drop. Arkansas needs to jump up if they win this. I dunno... does USC deserve to jump Florida if they beat Oregon? I don't think so - they've had their share of close games against unranked opponents. ND? They should've lost to Moo. WVU? They haven't shown they can beat a good team, their defense is questionable, as is their ability to pass. Arkansas should've lost at home to Alabama, at least if Alabama had a kicker. I dunno if Florida should move down just because their close win came today and not last month. Yeah, I think they might have dropped actual spots in the polls had everybody won. But with 2 teams ahead of them losing they aren't going to drop actual spots. I wouldn't be surprised to see USC pass Florida but that would still put Florida at #5 meaning they would actually move up.
  18. If you add in Arkansas losing to either LSU or Tennessee, then yes. But if your scenario happens and Arkansas wins out there is no way they won't jump ND. ETA: Also, is that what you think the Top 6 will be (i.e. how the polls will come out) or how you think it should be? It's what I think it will be. The only thing that might be different is Arkansas at 6 over Notre Dame and I think that only happens if they blow out Tennessee today. If they win a close game I think they'll be 7. Arkansas is significantly behind Notre Dame in terms of BCS points, and the Irish won a blowout today (even though it was Air Force). With a few more quality wins Arkansas could jump the Irish, but I don't see it this week. A win over Tennessee will be quality and Arkansas would likely jump over West Virginia with any sort of a victory. In the USA Today and Harris poll, Notre Dame is already ahead of Cal while Arkansas is behind Cal so they are likely to be, at the least, right behind ND in both polls. Needless to say, an Arkansas victory today gets them a lot closer to ND.
  19. I think it'll be Texas... they have to win at Kansas State tonight (shouldn't be tough) and then beat aTm at home, which should also be doable. Then it's the Big XII title game against Nebraska - they win that and they're looking good. They'd probably move up over O$U or Michigan, depending on which one loses. For me, it depends on which team wins the OSU/UM game. I don't think Texas deserves another shot because they got hammered at home. If it would have been a close game on the road (a la Florida to Auburn) that would be one thing. The same goes for Notre Dame if Michigan goes undefeated. ND shouldn't get another shot.

  22. And three top 10 teams have now lost already today.
